I would not discontinue anything until discussing all your medical issues with the anesthesiologist. Often it is recommended that herbal supplements are discontinued only because long term studies regarding their use and general anesthesia have not been done. Many people use Topamax for seizure disorders and migraine headaches and typically this medication is not stopped before surgery. Ask to have a pre-op evaluation by the anesthesiologist so all your issues are discussed before the surgery.
