I understand where you are coming from - having been thru the same mis-information campaign that has been thrust upon us. My first thought is definitely couseling, but, perhaps maybe you could take this pain and do everything in your power to keep it from happening even more. Use your energy to educate and inform. Like the Adam Walsh story - his dad took their horrendous pain and turned it into Americas Most Wanted - thousands of criminals have been captured and the result is probably thousands of lives saved. Plus they have Code Adam which helps kids in stores who are lost. It won't erase your pain but, it may ease it knowing you stopped someone else from going through it.
We seriously never hear of these stories - but they are out there.
