Good Morning Abbers!!

Well, again I couldn't resist watching the Olympics but not until after getting a last minute invitation to see one of my favorite guitarist play locally at a small venue. So needless to say it was another late night, very little sleep, but all made possible by the AF blood coursing through these exhausted veins!

I hope everyone else continues on with a very great AF day today!!

Good morning and thanks for kicking us off today 4tbz. Sounds like you had fun last night! What kind of music do you like? There is so much to offer in this area. Sometimes I wish I still lived right in the heart of the city! (but usually I'm glad these days to be in more wide open spaces...) Hope your work day goes smooth and easy for your tired but AF self!!

I slept in this morning - what a shocker!!! I was up sort of late watching the Michael Phelps Swimming Extravaganza oops I mean Olympics and it's great that my body naturally wants to get it's requisite sleep now instead of fitfull sleep and little sleep like before. YAY! I was really happy to see Nastia Liukin (sp) win the all around.

It looks like it will be another beautiful day here and I'm planning to enjoy it - even from my office!! I'm glad Mr. Doggy got into the bees because I really am loving the roof top bee porch and pot garden. (not THAT sort of pot sillies!!!) It's nice to open the door and see all the flowers and tomatos out there.

Happy TGIF to all yet to come. Do you have your solid AF plan for the weekend together?????

Hi Absters:

I am always grateful for a full 6 - 8 hours of sleep. In the beginning of my alcoholic drinking, I erroneously thought that a few drinks would be an easy way to fall asleep at night. Little did I know that my drinking would escalate so much. When people call alcoholism a progressive desease, they know what they're talking about.

I'm getting chores done before going down to my parents. It's keeping me busy & out of "trouble." I'll get a good book to read while down there, so that I won't be tempted at night when I'm alone in the upstairs apartment.

Take care everyone. I'll check back later.

Mary

Hey DG!

Since you asked, I play mostly electric guitar and love all kinds of guitar music especially loud rock & roll. I got to see my favorite guitarist of all time Frank Marino and even over 30 years after this video was made, he can still play like that and was simply an awesome show last night!

R2C you silly girl. *I* AM SANE. The ONLY sane one here.

Mary, a good book sounds like a great way to spend some of your "down time" on your trip. Lately I've been reading more educational type stuff and I'm really due for a good "edge of your seat" page turner junk fiction novel!! Good that you are keeping busy so AL can't get to you.

4tbz, thanks for the video clip!! What a blast from the past - the rock (he is a good guitarist!!), the hair, the clothes (or lack of - i.e. shirtless drummer) etc. I graduated high school in '76. Just for curiosity I googled him and looked at his wikipedia bio information. It mentions that he has recorded some blues. I'd love to hear that!! Are you familiar with any specific blues song names that he has recorded? Would love some sort of reference point to start searching. I like rock but LOVE LOVE LOVE the blues.
