Happy Thurs..4TB and all to come.
Sober and happy today...that's the only way to be (now just convince my Beast brain of that and all is well!). Everyone have a great day and pursue your goals...fight for what you want. Life is here for the taking! R2C |

Good Morning, Abbers,
I actually slept an entire night last night. Unheard of for me. Drinking or not. So, I am kind of on a "pink cloud" today. Still taking the Antabuse and loving the fact that I know for a FACT that I will be sober today (oh, and tomorrow and beyond). Watched as much as I could last night of Olympics until I nodded off. ![]() Love, Cindi |

Hello All, yep I am with you. Been taking my Antabuse since the beginning of the week. Works wonders at putting your mind to rest. No internal battles with the shall I shant I drink thoughts. Just know I can't so I think about other things.
Great to see you slept well Cindi. Just keep taking those tablets....I'll keep you company!! xxx

Hello Abbers! cindi and Amelia, I'm so glad that the Antabuse works so well for you both. You both sound great. And cindi - I BET you feel on a pink cloud today!! Sleep issues are NO fun at all - especially when it goes on and on and on and you just end up so thoroughly exhausted. I hope the hormone fix means my sleep troubles are gone for good!!
R2C, I totally relate to happy and sober!! Screw AL. 4tbz, I hear you on the Olympic exhaustion!!! I need to catch up as I slept through most of the coverage last night. And I heard on the radio this AM that Federer lost in the quarter finals.....LOTS of good stuff to catch up on today. It's day 85 AFHF and I am happy about that! Wishing a good AF day to everyone who has checked in so far and also to those who have not. DG

Hi Everyone: I'm getting metally ready for my trip to my parents a week from today. I will not drink! My mother seems to know what she wants me to do, & I'll do whatever I can to the best of my ability. My brother wants me to be thinking more toward the future (i.e. setting up a different living arrangement), but this is not his life...it's my parents' life.
Last night some old friends came for a casual dinner. They brought a bottle of chardannay, & this other couple & my husband drank only half of it ALL NIGHT. I think that averages out to about 1.5 glasses per person. It never ceases to amaze me how little normal drinkers drink. I feel so great AF. If I feel this wonderful, I can't for the life of me figure out why I give in to a craving now & then...or even have a craving. Anyhow, I'm concentrating on this day & tomorrow staying sober & turning my thoughts away from any drinking at all. Be well everyone. Mary
