Patty is doing OK. It was rough, but she got through it w/strength & courage. It was amazing to see.

We're home though I'm at her home (10 min. away) most of the time. It's exhausting, but I'm doing what I want/must do. I haven't even thought about drinking. I wouldn't be able to be there in this way if I were.

Thank you all so much for thinking/praying for Patty. I know it helped.

DG's Sister: After a double mastectomy, Patty is up & around. She has:
-taken a shower carefully w/help.
-blown dry her own hair (she doesn't like curly).
-brushed her own teeth.
-& other things I didn't think she'd be able to do.
I think all the yoga & running strengthened her core such that she was able to do more than we thought possible.

The kids are being careful around her. Friends are helping w/b-sitting & dog-sitting & meals...leaving me freer to be a care-giver. Her husband is wonderful.

We're doing fine...no drinking ODAT.

Mary

Happy 4th y'all. I just returned from the international aa meeting. I can't wait to read DG's report.
It was a pretty awesome event.

Mary, good thoughts continue for you and your daughter. Thanks for sharing your strength with us.

Phil: I think it's so cool that you & DG connected at the convention. There were people from our meetings there! Also can't wait to see DG's report. Mary
