Default An incentive to buy less beer!!!

I went with my hubby to my local off licence to buy a 4 pack of beer (we share them - I only drink 2!) and the guy behind the counter asked me if I wanted to take advantage of his £5 offer for 6. I ummed and ahhhed and said, 'No, cos we'll drink 6, I'll stick with the 4 thanks.' But he decided that because he saw us regularly he'd give us them at the lower price anyway!

In the UK, a shop where you buy booze is called an off licence.

AF last night and a breakthrough - I thought about whether I fancied a beer and thought, 'Ewwww, no - don't fancy that tonight.' Had a glass of Fanta, then a decaff coffee and went to bed.

Hi Vlad, managed AF last night also. Tried AF wine but it is so expensive and tastes weird so now am doing "water into wine" no not the miracle thingy, actually watering the wine down sort of squash type diluting - sounds disgusting but to my jaded, pickled, pallet it actually tastes OK...... Well if it works.

Have a great day.

I love Shloer Red Grape! I hate red wine but love that. Well done going AF last night.

Hey all modders....

Yesterday went out to dinner with a friend and knew I would honor my three drink limit. Another friend had asked if she could come over later to hang out...I quickly said no, that I was tired and needed to rest for my next day. When I got home, I was so happy that my friend was not coming over....for I kept my mod promise. I reflect on this this morning and realize how easy it was for me. Where before, I would have said yes and regretted how much I drank. All good things in small measures make big rewards!!!
Tonight is an AF night for me!!!

I had half a glass of wine left in the lounge last night whilst I was washing up so went though to get to get it (to wash the glass) and ended up downing it!!!

What did I do that for???

I only allow myself a glass a night and then downed half the glass just so that I could wash the glass, that just doesn't make sense. It's been bugging the hell out of me all day!

Default Was it worth it?

Walked to the offy for my usual ration of 2 beers, it was raining a little but when I came out of the shop it was throwing it down. By the time I got home looked like a drowned rat, now most people would have got a change of clothes first and dryed off, but no not me - I wanted to drink my beer. So I sat there on the sofa, soaked drinking my beer. Also it was around 9.30pm once I got back from the offy and I knew I wanted to go to bed around 10.00pm so what did I do? Yes, gulped down both beers in half an hour. That's not a modding attitude - surely a real modder would of dryed off first and only drunk 1 beer calmy and sensibly. I'm not a modder, who am I fooling - just an alcoholic on a leash...
