No morning cocktail for me!!!!! Hair is dry and Croft is AF! Would love to say that I overcame the big bad craving, but no craving came this morning. Maybe acknowledging it and embarassing it on MWO was enough to chase it away.

The graduation brunch is Sunday. My quiches are happily awaiting their debut in the freezer along side the muffins. My friend and her daughter are tying ribbons around the napkins and plasticware. I placed all the little bottoms on the plastic champagne glasses last night. My bathrooms are clean. I have a few more errands to run and some more food prep to do, but feeling in control. So far almost 45 people have RSVP'd, exactly as planned!

And I am excited. I love to cook. When I started this process to control my drinking for some reason everything in my life came to a screaching halt including my cooking. I had to work hard to maintain my normal activities. With the graduation party, I have an oppurtunity to bring my love for cooking back into my life. When we decided on a brunch I was a little discouraged as I have always found breakfast to be boring. But a mid-day event seemed like a better time of day to manage the mix of adult and teenagers than evening. Trying to avoid the drunk celebrating teenagers a much as possible. I am excited about the below menu!!!!

Potato Crusted Quiche with Smoked Cheddar and Candian Bacon
Quiche of Chorizo with Red Pepper, Onion, Green Chili and Cheese in a Corn Bread Crust
Whole Wheat Crusted Quiche of Spinach with Carrots, Celery and Guyuere

Happy Trails Muffins
Fruit Salad
Spiraled Ham

Pumpkin Pancakes served with Maple Syrup and Whipped Cream
Lemon Poppyseed Pancakes served with Raspberry Sauce
Carmelized Apple French Toast Served with Light Carmel Sauce and Toasted Walnuts
Potato Pancakes served with Sour Cream and Apple Sauce

Interesting that you would say that. I look at other people and wonder the same thing. I have a friend who is the mother of 2 autistic children, an author, a painter and manages to garden, cook healthy meals for her family every day and make time to have lunch with me on a regular basis. She climbs, mountain bikes and hikes. And she is alwasy doing research of some kind or another about autism.

My favorite movie line of all time is in Jurasic Park: "Life finds a way"
It can be a good way or a bad way, but if you focus the energy, I believe you direct it in a good way. I have to direct it towards good, cause Lord knows what happens if I don't direct it at all.

Hi all. I love reading about everyone's day. I have a family weekend ahead of me as well. Tonight we go to one son's school for a "Night of Arts" where we see all my son's art work and then out to dinner. Sat is a school fundraiser with a fishing tournament during the day and a luau at night. I have been told it is a booze heavy event so, I will be popping my kudzu like tic-tacs. Sunday I have my mom, dad, stepmom, aunts and brother and sister coming over to eat and hang out.

Have a great weekend everyone!
