Monday May 19 for the Moddsters
Thank goodness I am a moderator or I would have to come here this morning and confess a major slip. Instead I get to come here and tell you all what a wonderful time I had at my daughter's graduation party. I thoroughly enjoyed a little "extra" champagne and the buzz that went with it. And I was able to stop before it got out of hand. Yes, I could STOP and just enjoy the buzz and not keep drinking to the point of oblivian.
As I sit here this morning I know that I will always have to pay attention, but it is nice to be able to enjoy a celebration again without the pain of the next morning that used to go with it.

Good for you Croft. Very proud of you. You worked hard for that moment. "No thanks, I've had enough". Someone offered me port one night and I said thank you but if I drink that I will be in trouble. Little victories.

So glad you had a great time Croft!
My weekend was jam-packed with events and I did very well moderating. The big obstacle was a luau fundraiser where it was open bar. They did not have my pinot grigio so I had vodka cranberry with a little pineapple juice. I was very good and only had three over three hours. It was a lot of fun and I had a great time socializing. They roasted a whole pig with an apple in it's mouth. The food was great and the atmosphere was wonderful. It was on the grounds of my kids school. The school is on 43 acres and in one part there are waterfalls, ponds and wooden bridges. In the ponds are trumpeter swans, black swans, cranes and millions of ducks and other water fowl. On Sunday we had a family get together at my house with about 40 people coming and going. I made a sangria but, made it weak with sprite and fruit juice. Today I am fresh as a daisy and looking forward to my afternoon run.....that is if this rain will stop!

awesome crofty i wish i could do that. but i know i cant for me it has to be this way . and am fine with it .but anyway i am so proud of you . and does your husband notice the in you .well again keep up the good work ..peace and god bless..

Precious - what a weekend - the luau sounds like a blast in a wonderful place. And even if it rains - you get that run under your feet girlfriend!
