Talking Tomorrow is the 1st July, any modders joining me?

Wow, here we are on the 30th June - this will be 6 months for me with no slip ups, OK I've had a couple of occasions were I felt I've drunk a little more than I wanted but nothing major... Major for me means drinking so much I throw up, can't walk or fall unconscious!

I would normally have a couple of beers tonight, but I would like to see if I can resist and go AF.
(You drink on a Monday??? Disgusting...) Sorry, but that was somebody's reaction to my drinking habits once.

My current moderation plan goes

Mon - 2 beers
Wed - 2 beers
Fri - 2 beers
Sat - 2 beers, 2 double vodkas (I like my vodkas and Sat is the one day I allow myself them)

Hey, that's my plan, it's interchangeable though, for example if I don't drink on a Monday, I allow myself a drink on a Tuesday. It doesn't always work however, sometimes it ends up: Mon - 2 beers, Tues - 2 beers, Wed - 2 beers, Thurs - 2 beers, Fri - pub 2 beers, 3 double vodkas, sat - 4 beers, sun - 2 beers...oops. And sometimes if I've succumbed to buying a bottle of vodka it goes 1 beer, 4/5 shots of vodka every night.

Tomorrow will be the 1st July, I've decided I really need to get fit so I intend to take a walk, swim and cycle each week. We've also ordered a WiiFit so can't wait to get on that. Also I want to try and get back into doing 'daily devotions', (i.e. I read my bible and pray a bit every morning). I just bought a book 'No Ordinary Man' for a £1 so I'm going to read something like a page a day. Not being funny but my heavy drinking really did trash my relationship with God on my part, I don't mean God fell out with me - He never left my side, he was still hanging on to what little sense I had left!

There are 2 birthdays coming up towards the end of this month and that means I'll be up at the mother-in-law's that weekend. She drinks a lot and always buys a crate of beer in for us so here is my incentive for a screw-up this month (although last time she gave us the money to buy it ourselves so we were able to buy less).

Anyway, here's to modding for July!!! I'm going to log my success (and / or failures if any!!!) here each day, oh and any daft dreams I may have - woke up this morning realising that yet again I'd had another dream about guess what, VODKA. I dreamt I was sat in my living room drinking it straight from the bottle. I had about 3 mouthfuls before I woke up.

Default I like this!

Although my goal is to be AF, this is the fifth morning I am hangover free since starting the L-Glutamine and Kudzu. How wonderful to recall everything from the evening before, not pass out on the coach befor 9:00 and to wake up clear headed!! Usually I slam anywhere from 3-5 24oz cans of Ice (high test) beer. Instead of buying the cans I have gotten a six paack of bottles...having 2-3 and don't even mind if my husband has a couple...I pray this is my max and can go a night or two w/o!

Yes I'm in for July. Want to be AF Sunday to Friday and moderate at weekend with my aim being no more than a bottle of wine Friday and Saturday night. Here's to us.

I'm definetly in!!!
I would love to get my butt off the couch and do some exercise this month too, but it is winter so we'll see how that goes.

My aim is Monday to Thurday - 1 glass of wine with dinner
Friday and Saturday - 2 or maybe if the occassion calls for it 3 glasses of wine
Sunday - AF

I haven't gone AF before and the thought alone scares the bejezus out of me but I really want to this ... so bring it on July!!!!

Go DeeBee - I try and stay AF on Sunday's too - I think I've managed it all of June apart from when I was on holiday. I've never used the drink tracker on this site but I'm going to, then we can all see whether I'm true to my word!!!

Good idea Vlad.

The drink counter helps me whether it's in my diary or on the site. Will join you.

Hi Everyone, I'm in! This will be great, and inspirational. We're a team.

I have been on MWO for 3 weeks now. I am on topamax now, I have read the book and I listen to the CDs and I just got a bunch of supplements and they are not too much.

I've been moderating, but not always so well. Out of the 21 days since I started, I've drank 7 days. Not so bad, but some of those days I did drink quite a bit.

This is WAY better than the bottle of wine (or more) that I was drinking EVERY night for the past 5 years. But I do have a wedding that I am IN on July 25.

My goals:

Do my best to go AF during the week (maybe a glass of wine occasionally if we go out), but not at home, too tempting to finish the bottle!

Then allow myself a couple of glasses on Fridays and Saturdays.

Sweetlips, let's get into our Party dresses together!

SunDaisy
