spuddles,
I think it's called the honeymoon period or pink cloud. In my early days I would have done the ironing, cooked the tea cleaned a cupboard out by 7am. Around about 30 - 31 days I hit a real slumpy , boredom type feeling. I knew I wasn't going to have a drink. It soon passed because of the support I got from here. I just wrote the day off treated myself to a trashy magazine and a no brainer film and felt back in the loop the following day. J x ![]()

Hey Spud,
YES, feeling pretty hyper ALOT lately (15 days AF, just 2 behind ya). Im even waking up at the crack of dawn way before my alarm goes off. I suppose im not complaining too much because I have a job where I need the added energy. Im not sure whats going on, but I like it. Im also finding myself very very happy, like I just break out singing alot, and just generally happy. I suppose Im just grateful for feeling like I have finally "did it" after all these wasted years. Im sure we will both calm down soon. Maybe its just the alcohol leaving our system and our bodies getting cleaned out (?). It sounds like you were already a very active person, so maybe quiting the booze just sent you in overdrive. Great job on the 17 days! Like I said, I am just 2 behind ya! At my last doctors visit, he gave me a script for Klonopin. He has told me three times now to try it, and it will calm me down, and probably take away any desire to drink. I guess its suppose to relax you. Maybe something like that in your future? Keep up the AF my friend! Going back is not an option now is it? Hugs, Overit

Fantastic for both of you Spuddleduck and Overit. And I agree I would rather by hyper and happy than hungover and miserable.
