Default Was Last Night Really Worth It?

Kudos to the Alcohol Advisory Council of New Zealand (ALAC) for these print ads which are very powerful! I'm sure we can all relate to one or more of these photos!

Was Last Night Really Worth It?

They are all heartbreaking, but I think the one that tugs at me the most is the one with the toddler looking at his mother passed out in a drunken stupor on the bed. Very sobering indeed!

The "trapped inside a glass" visual is very powerful, depicting the isolation so many of us feel, even while we are with others.

Sheri, that last one of the mom on the bed is indeed emotional. Including the evening dress and shoes from the night before, and the bucket by the side of the bed.

Good post. A little painful.

Default wow

these pictures speak so loudly! many times after a night of binge drinking have i been 2 hungover to participate in family events or everyday life such as breakfast or lunch just because of drinking. So many missed opportunities. Sleeping all day in the darkness while everyone else is in the light. I want to be strong. I should look at these pictures everytime before i am headed out somewhere. I can say a hundred times that no last night wasnt worth it!!!

Great pictures and so right on as to the next day effects.

I spent many times as in picture 3, with the wine glass in bed. Shades drawn to keep the room dark, and to keep myself from panicking. Curled in a little ball praying for time to go quicker, so I could end the day and feel somewhat normal again the next day after.

What a waste of a life, time, and potential. I do not have those days as often now, thanks for the reminder to not go there again. Great ad campain and definately accurate!
