Hi all .

It's quite a sobering experience thinking about going on a site like this for the first time. I think it's a step in the right direction. I don't really know who else to talk to other than strangers. That's worrying in itself but it is what it is. I think things can only change for the better this route. I've found recently over the last year that I cannot control myself when I drink. I have a beer than turns to two then to ten. I don't want to have the feeling of no contol anymore. I am therefore all ears for advice if anyone has any.

Some stories I've read so far leave me with a lot of hope

Thank you
Chris

Hi chris & on deciding to change! Trust me, we won't be strangers for long! You might want to read the MWO book. You can download it from the Health Store at the top of this page. I think it's about $12.

Chris! Congratulations on your decision to take your life back. It's not easy. But there are a whole lot of people here at My Way Out who are proving every day that it CAN be done. And if we can, so can you.

I too recommend starting with the book and going from there.

Hi Chris,

Welcome to MWO, this is a good place!

Please feel free to join us on the 'Newbies Nest' thread, lots of folks there just getting started as well.

As DG mentioned, the book is a good place to start & I also highly recommend the Hypnotherapy CDs. They really helped me to relax & clear my thinking!

Wishing you the best on your journey

Lav

Welcome Chris - I am pretty new too. Have the book and just started the programme. You have taken a great first step.
Lavande - I have the moderate drinking CD but not the set of 4 - I am hoping that that CD and the meds/supps will be OK. DOes anyone also have experience without the CD's on the Programme?

welcome Chris - I agree with greenie - you may come here as a stranger but in no time you will have plenty of new friends.

Stick around it's a great place to be
