Topa HELP!!!
I just realized my Topa from Aclepsa was not sent out until last week and I ordered it over two weeks ago~! Thinking I had an extra packet--I didn't--and expecting to receive it sometime this week, I've realized I'm down to a total of 225 mgs and I'm used to taking 100mgs/day. Today I've taken 50mgs and my head is pounding. Unfortunately, I have NO insurance and no regular doctor. I am SOO afraid of the side effects of titrating off of this medication so quickly and just don't know what to do...I've gotten myself into a mess. Should I go to a clinic and say I've got migraines and hope they will give it to me? Anyone? :(

P.S. If anyone has experience with stopping Topamax quickly please send me a PM because I'm about to do it and not by choice! I couldn't believe the email from Aclepsa last week saying "expect your meds in the next 32 days!"--even from Mexico it's more like 10-15! I'm scared about withdrawals.

From what I understand about the drug it is non-dependance forming. So you should be fine coming of it. I took Topa sporadically , probably for a month at a time with a week off for 6 months then cut it out without any side effects.
