Hi MM.
This may depend on where you are in the program. You did not mention how you felt nor what the rest of the program was doing for you. Do you have a continued craving for alcohol? Are you completely off alcohol? If so, how long has it been? If you are taking Topamax, what dosage are you on? (Of course you can't stop suddenly.) What does your primary provider think of your progress? There are many factors to consider when thinking about eliminating medication or replacing it with other anti-craving agents so please keep that in mind. Good work with the program. --Dr. Garcia |
