Right now I am AF during the week and have 2-3 each day on the weekend. What is also very important and is not discussed alot is spacing out your drinks and drinking water inbetween.

Wow - that is really good news. Congrats on maintaining a truly moderate lifestyle for two years. I hope that I can be like that one day!

Precious.....(that use to be my cat's name when I was a little girl....love that name....xo)

Anyway I did not post to comment on your name or take a trip down my memory lane.LOL!!!

I wanted to congratulate you on your journey and the milestones you have made. I have read this thread and it has given me inspiration to take the mod journey. I came here to mwo not to quit, but to get a handle on my drinking and hopefully be able to mod. I have begun to mod for the month of june and so far so good!
I hope to cross your path in this mod journey and thank you for your posts, they have been very insightful and helpful!

"TO each our own journey!!!"

Hi Precious,
I've only been moderating a month...congrats to a year! If I may ask, what is moderation to you? Have you set up a number of drinks per week or days per week, exactly how have you planned it?
I try for 3x week (had to give myself a cushion for the rare business dinner or vacation time so I don't fail miserably) and 2 drinks a night with a possible exception of 3 if they were really dragged out over the evening. So, I guess I could say 6-8 drinks per week??
Then I see others who only allow themselves drinking 1x a week, etc. so people are doing different things on the mod road.
With your success wondering what your plan is.
Thanks!

preciouspinot,
I know this was posted back in June, but if you're around, this is extremely encouraging. I'm glad I scrolled down to read it. Congrats and I'm glad to see that it can work.
