Thanks so much Sunbeam! It really helped having you here. I looked at your profile and found that we are the same age, both happily married and both into gardening. I love the outdoors and the "glass of wine on the patio" with the hubby is something I aspire to. Have a wonderful weekend.

Another gardener! Certainly one of my joys of getting alcohol under control is being able to do more gardening projects. This week was a busy one: I'm just working part-time over the summer. I made some nice cement stepping stones, and I bought a rock tumbler. I have begun tumbling glass from smashed wine bottles (to remove sharp edges), and I plan to use it to make a small imitation pond. I have some friends coming over this week, and they will be served Reisling from those nice blue bottles. Another plus is that Reisling usually has a lower alcohol content. I'm thinking of starting a gardening thread...

Sunbeam,
I love it! Now you're choosing wines by the color of the bottle so you can use them in a gardening project instead of just picking your favorite poison. I love the gardening thread idea. There is really something healing about getting your hands into the soil, creating a garden and nurturing it into fruition. "Busy hands are happy hands".
