Ahhhhhhhhhh.....Jose Cuervo....He WAS a friend of mine!! At least I thought he was.
I don't know why but he only showed up when I was at the beach! He let me get sunburned many times....now a real friend wouldn't do that! My new friends take much better care of me.. Ginger Ale is a very soothing gal to have around. My tummy feels much calmer. And Sweety Tea is oh so cool! Thanks for the smile and the ahhhh haaaa moment, Kate! Love, Nancy

Ha Lushy - you think I didn't try and patent that invention? Would have saved my wardrobe, I tell you.
Just have to add a weird little postscript here. You know the apricot tree? A few months (or so) into sobriety, it started to wither. It was a stunning tree, beautiful, luscious foliage and plump, juicy fruit. It died. I took this as a sign that; A. It missed my witty conversations, or B. It really was time to quit drinking. I now have a compelling desire to create a bumper sticker: 'Give up the booze, kill an apricot tree'. My husband wanted to plant another. My response? Noooooooooooo. Oh, and we moved the rock. (That rotten rock.) |
