Default All I need!

Psalm 23:1 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.2 He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. 3 He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His name's sake. 4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. 5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over. 6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the Lord Forever.

Default Oh that I had wings like a dove

Psalm 55:6
And I said, Oh that I had wings like a dove! For then would I fly away, and be at rest.
The boat took off at a high speed, and the towline lifted with a jerk. Jeff's arms strained to hold on, but he held the bar tightly in his hands. As the wind filled the parasail behind him, he felt himself rise up into the air. He was flying! The water rushed by beneath him, and he could see for miles. He let go of the bar and grabbed two steering guides dangling in front of him. He felt the freedom and joy of taking wing. His spirit swelled within him. He'd never felt a joy like this before in his life. There are many breathtaking experiences in this life that God has given to us. He has reserved some special things for each of us. These experiences help us touch the wonder of God. They involve us in His mystery, and they remind us of just how great He is. Embrace life fully. Try new things. The Lord is offering you new excitement and opportunity every day of your life.
Prayer:
Grant me wings to soar, Father. Set me upon high places and show me the wonders of Your love. Open my heart to new things, and watch me grow. Amen.

Hi Tracey,

When you look at a post you see a dark blue section which tells when the post was sent. Underneath that is a medium blue section. In that section of Nancy's posts you will see a picture of a white flower with a yellow centre. To the right of that picture you will see written in blue

Southernbelle47.

If you move your mouse over that word the writing changes from blue to black. When it goes black

Southernbelle47

click your mouse and several options appear in a dropdown box. One of these is to send a Private message. Click on that option and look for the title box.

You must put a title in the title box or the message will not send. Then write your message in the large box below and click submit message.

The verse that may become my all time favorite is the one I wrote in my Journal on my first AF day (Jan. 1)
"No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it." (1 Cor 10:13)

God is good all the time. It's not that I haven't been begging him for recovery for YEARS - (and have known this verse for a long time) ... I have been chained to addiction like a compulsive slave. Yet - Thanks be to Jesus Christ - I am holding the key to unlock the prison doors and I plan on walking out a free woman! ODAT Just hours after I wrote this verse in my journal - I stumbled on to the MY WAY OUT website!!! I am thanking Him tonight for all of YOU!
TIT ~ I just ran across this thread again - and remembered when I posted this. It is a gem to me as I now enter into my 8th month Alcohol Free. Thank you for starting this thread - and tonight I pray for you as you have had such a tough month.

God really does want for us to be whole and healed. He is the lover of our souls. I think of you as I read this post that was one of my very first posts here at MWO.

I love you so - in Jesus our Lord and Savior.

Default He calls me by name....you too...

DOES HE KNOW ME -

He calleth ... by name.

John 10:3
John 10:3 - NAS - with Study Resources - Study Desk

When I have sadly misunderstood Him? (John 10:17.) It is possible to
know all about doctrine and yet not know Jesus. The soul is in danger
when knowledge of doctrine outsteps intimate touch with Jesus. Why
was Mary weeping? Doctrine was no more to Mary than the grass under
her feet. Any Pharisee could have made a fool of Mary doctrinally,
but one thing they could not ridicule out of her was the fact that
Jesus had cast seven demons out of her; yet His blessings were
nothing in comparison to Himself. Mary "saw Jesus standing and knew
not that it was Jesus . . ;" immediately she heard the voice, she
knew she had a past history with the One who spoke. "Master!"

When I have stubbornly doubted? (John 10:27.) Have I been doubting
something about Jesus - an experience to which others testify but
which I have not had? The other disciples told Thomas that they had
seen Jesus, but Thomas doubted - "Except I shall see . . , I will not
believe." Thomas needed the personal touch of Jesus. When His touches
come, or how they come, we do not know; but when they do come they
are in describably precious. "My Lord and my God!"

When I have selfishly denied Him? (John 21:15-17.) Peter had denied
Jesus Christ with oaths and curses, and yet after the Resurrection
Jesus appeared to Peter alone. He restored him in private, then He
restored him before the others. "Lord, Thou knowest that I love
Thee."

Have I a personal history with Jesus Christ? The one sign of
discipleship is intimate connection with Him, a knowledge of Jesus
Christ which nothing can shake.

My favorite is your siggy, Belle.

Be still and know that I am God.

I can feel Him telling me to just stop and let him take over for a while. It can be the hardest thing to do. But, yet it is so comforting.
