Shelby....There's a long story behind that verse for me.
It is very personal as that is the way God works with all His children.
I fought it by getting busy when He said..."Be still and know ME...I am God"...
It's a good thing to still our mind and heart and body and just listen to Him....I f we don't , then He will bring about circumstance to MAKE us still! Daddys are like that! They love their children enough to bring us to a dead standstill to share with us. It's all about love .

Wow, Livingfree, I just ran across this one also, it was so sweet of you to bump in here too! I'd almost forgotten this thread, as it has been a bumpy year for sure! I think we've all come so far tho, and we've done it together, this site is sooooo awesome! Let's take this back up, I've added to my journal, and I still read my inspirationals every morning! Love you all soooo much!
Here's one for today....
Use every piece of God's armor to resist the enemy (AL!) in the time of evil, so that after the battle, you will still be standing....Eph. 6:13

Also, I read this one this morning....it is trying to explain Psalm 2:2-4....Joyce Meyer is telling us in her interpertation, that.....When God's enemies gather together againist Him, He sits in the heavens and laughs. He is the Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End, so He already knows how things are going to turn out. Since He is the beginning and the end, He must also be everything in between. If we are being led by God's Spirit, we can laugh also during those times. We spend too much time in our thoughts looking at what is taking place now, instead of looking at the finish line. Think of all the other things God has done for you. You had to wait for them also. He is faithful, He will do what He has promised. You may have to wait for a season, but if you DECIDE TO ENJOY THE TRIP, IT WILL NOT SEEM NEARLY AS LONG...! You may be familiar with the old saying "A WATCHED POT NEVER BOILS", well, when you stand and start at a pot of water, it seems to take forever to come to the boiling point, but, if you go about your business and do other things, keeping your mind off the water, it seems to take only a few seconds. Watching your problem is like watching the pot of water. If you do your part, then get your mind off your problem, it will be resolved alot faster, and you will be able to say, "I enjoyed the journey"..... I just thought that really applied to all of us here, whether our problem is the alcohol, a family problem, a worry, or job, whatever...if we'll just trust, and enjoy the ride, knowing God is in the drivers seat, and just take our hands off the wheel, we'll be in a much better place daily!!!! Love you all!!!!
