Default Absolutely delish fairly low-fat bleu cheese dressing

Have had this recipe forever but did not make it until last night. Better than any bottled dressing I have had and much less fat.

1/2 c. crumbled bleu cheese (I use St. Agur as it is my fave bleu cheese. Don't like the mass manufactured stuff and Agur is not as pungent, but any kind would work).
1/4 cup buttermilk (key to making it thick and creamy with little fat).
3 Tbsp. fat-free sour cream
2 Tbsp low-fat mayonnaise
2 tsp sherry vinegar
1/2 tsp. brown sugar
1/8 tsp garlic powder

Mash the bleu cheese and buttermilk with fork until cheese is in small curds. Stir in remaning ingredients. Season with S&P.

Give it a try! Really good!!!!

Bite me Wee. Bleu is the appropriate spelling for the cheese. Blue is for the color. I am sorry if my intelligence is intimidating to you. I run into this a lot with people in my life. It is very hard to keep up with the brain matter of Lushy.

I say use full fat stuff.

Or double fat. Extra fat. 50% more fat.

The fatter the better.

Lushy....your BRAIN is a lump of bloo cheeze....or fromajjjjj as us exotic types like to say...

Yes Froglet...fat, fat and more fat...
Do you get the cooking program called 'two fat ladies' in oz....2 nutty upper class Pommie women riding around in a motorbike and side car who cook lumps of fat in lard and then add butter sauce with a suet side dish....I love 'em

hahahahahahahaha
Clarissa Dickson wright was the other one...Jennifer something or other was the 'babe'...she died a while back (from obsessively eating salad with low fat dressing I believe and most definitely NOT smoking 40 fags between each take)

Lushy, I'm allergic to penicillin, will that dressing kill me? You don't want my blood on your hands - do you?

The two fat ladies were aired in Canada too and it was one of my favorite shows. They were a hoot. They were my "homesick for Europe" fair.

Lori, take your chances and let me know if it does. Would be a good warning to pass onto others with the same allergy if it does you in.

The rest of you, a double bite me.
