Default Cup measurement not bras!!!

Dear All,

Please could someone from America help me with this question, I have found a recipe that I like for pitta bread but the measurements are in cups and I don`t know how to convert that to ounces which is what I use.
The recipe calls for 3 cups of flour and 1 cup of water so could you tell me what that is in ounces also it says to use all purpose flour so is that plain or self raising?

Thanks a lot

Twit, I think you probably need plain flour, as pita bread should not rise too much, rather like a pizza crust. Let us know how it comes out; I've never made pita from scratch, and the store-bought kind are rather stale.
