Default Inner Beauty Tea

Great for detox!!! Ingredients can usually be found in the bulk aisle of a good health food or vitamin store. I make up a big batch (usually double this) and store it in a glass jar to make as needed. Sometimes I also add Green Tea. In summer its good cold, and sometimes I even mix it with soda water (much better for you than soft drinks).

1 cup dried Peppermint leaves
1/2 cup Alfalfa
1/2 cup dried Sage
1/2 cup Oat Straw

No offense Spotty--but that sounds gross!!! But I'm almost intrigued enough to try it!

Never hears of oat straw and I spend a lot of time on those hippy aisles in health food stores!

Vettech, no offense taken!!! frankly i don't mind it, its very minty ... though i guess it takes getting used to (but still not as bad as like wheat grass juice!). oat straw has silica in it which helps clean out one's intestines. of course its not something you'd want to drink gallons of!!!

other good cleansers for our overworked insides:

cup of hot water with lemon (and / or a cube of ginger)

glass of cranberry juice (real cranberry juice, not Ocean Spray) if its too strong you can dilute it with water; or, cranberry capsules

1/2 cup pomegranite juice (i often have this as my nightly "cocktail" mixed with pelligrino h2o.

stay healthy!
