Default What can we do with Kiwi?

Can any of the Aussies or Zealanders tell me what all one can do with Kiwi, other than eat them raw. Could one make jam out of them?
Any info is welcome.
Lori

Hey there Lori,
I don't see why you couldn't make jam out of kiwi.... Maybe use a strainer though if you think that the little seeds are a bit much... I think it would be very nice to try... Maybe google to see if there is a recipe for you to follow.. Best of luck

This isnt so much a "kiwi" complete recipe, but the only times I have used kiwi were on a fruit pizza... they are so delicious and gorgeous. I have a hard time knowing what to do with them plain, but they are so yum atop cream cheese....

My fruit pizza is:

Store bought sugar cookie dough (pillsbury)

fresh, colorful berries and fruit (kiwi, strawberries, raspberries, mango slices... anything else in season)

a block of cream cheese, softened

fresh vanilla extract (or bottled)

a little sugar....

Roll the cookie dough out to make ONE big round cookie. I put mine on a Pampered Chef round clay stone. Cook according to directions, and let cool on the stone. Meanwhile, soften the cream cheese, add vanilla extract to taste (a tsp or two...or more) and a about 1/4 cup of sugar. mix well and spread over the cooled cookie leaving an edge just like a pizza. Slice berries and fruit, and arrange beautifully on top. I usually frame it with sliced strawberries, then a ring of blueberries, then sliced kiwi, then mango, then make a pretty hodge podge of all of them in the middle. Serve at room temp or chilled, and slice just as you would a pizza. Its so good!

I know that's a bit extreme for kiwi... but kiwi always makes it so yum and gorgeous too!

Lori - I would never do anything to kiwi other than eat it raw. I don;t think it was designed to be cooked. Use it as prest has said or make fruit kebabs or liquidize it and pour over ice-cream.

Default Kiwis

I just think it's so cool that they look like balls.
Hard to even peel them after that..........
