Default Tips on mixing All One

Hello Alll,

I was finding it a bit of a hassle to mess with the blender and all associated cleanup each morning while trying to get out of the house and off to work. It was too easy to skip this all important step in starting each day.

One Saturday I saw an infomercial on TV for this little blender that would blend a drink in one of six cups that you could unscrew the mixing blade, rinse it and attach a rim to alow one to drink the beverage while on the way to work and clean the mixing cup at work.

This works great especially if one wants to blend some ice cubes after mixing the ALL IN ONE. Nice wake up drink.

Default More on mixing All One

You may need to be technological but I find it find it fine to just mix All One in with a glass of whatever juice is in the fridge with a fork. Three minutes. Except it upsets me - had to go down to a dessert spoon (do you have these in the US? Half dose, anyway),

Keep life simple!

Cheers,

Default Kudzu, diet

Hello,

I have been visting this board for months. I went to an addiction Doctor last summer. he wouldn't give me Topamax, but gave me Campril even though I wasn't sober. Of course it did nothing.

I was drinking 8-12 beers a night. I couldn't get past that afternoon craving. It was so strong I felt like I had no control at all. I tried Kudzu Recovery and Nothing.

3 weeks ago I still felt hopeless but I had to try again. i wasn't happy sitting around and just getting fatter and more useless. I am a stay at home mom who is quite functional as a drunk, but it does a number on me in so many ways. And like i said, I don't want to get any fatter.

SO, I ordered Kudzu - Fresh Made 600 mg Capsuls from www.viable-herbal.com. They make them fresh when you order. I have been taking 2 twice a day and NO cravings. I only had a twinge on Saturday at the grocery store and tonight with dinner out. I feel GREAT for the first time in years.

I have been following a great diet program which is totally free and so easy to register for and i have been doing intense workouts most days. It's a freaking miracle. If you want the diet program, check out www.sparkpeople.com. If you register, use my ID Amy69_32. They give you points for various things. It's fun. It is seriously cool and seriuosly free.

I just wanted to share with you all. I never thougt I could quit. I know it's a long road, but i never thought i could make it this far. You'll be amazed how much stuff you can get done at night sober!!

Default Kudzu and L-Glutamine

Kudzu and L-Glutamine helping
Hi all,

Hey I am all for replacing a healthy addiction with an unheathy one. The kudzu and l-glut seem to really top it off for me while I am stepping up on the topa. Plus I stop in and out of this site though out the day. Sorry Allie...I do check in and out of chat now and then, but with kids, I have no set time that I can or can't be there.
I seem to pop in and out of the web site though out the day. So yes it is an addiction for me right now as is my coffee and my supps...but...alot better for me then my beer was!
Happy sober Thursday All!

Default Tyrosine and other Amino Acids

Hi Alexcanada. Yes, L-Tyrosine is helpful. Here's a really good overview that includes some information you may find of interest. (The P-5-P mentioned by the author is found in Vitamin B6, which controls amino acid absorption and metabolism.)

And here's the chart I posted earlier with All One's amino acid profile; it contains some info, as well.

BTW, we're getting close to launching the MWO brand of supplements and it will include a product with a balanced blend of amino acids--particularly good for those who are not using All One's original formula. In addition to our "Starter Kit" (all supps outlined in the program) and "Extreme Kit" (all supps plus L-Glutamine and the "Social Events" CD), we'll carry some other stand alone products. They include GABA, as we've gotten feedback from individuals in the program who feel it has been beneficial to them; and L-Glutamine, which as become a popular add-on to our program. Of course, we will also carry the new MWO brand of kudzu, as I mentioned earlier.

Here's a sneak peek of the new Amino Acid Complete product and label info from Now Foods, the company with whom we're working. They are highly regarded in the dietary supplement industry and we're really delighted to have partnered with them. Finally, we'll have all the products available in one place and delivered in quantities to match the MWO program. Stay tuned!

Default The Sugar Connection

Hey there,
I have read the alcohol-sugar connection in many of the other books I've read about stopping drinking. (Nina, I'll try to find the chemistry behind that as well -- my husband is a homebrewer, so he might know too.) Although if we are trying not to put alcohol into our bodies, ice cream or a candy bar should seem harmless, but the books, including RJ's, say that it will just exacerbate those cravings and take longer for them to dissipate. (How to Quit Drinking without AA talks about diet and sugar quite a bit.)

I normally am a chip/cheese-and-crackers/salty snack kind of person (who wants cookies when you're drinking beer?) I made peach cobbler which I had several nights in a row. Kinda justified it with the homegrown fruit I had in my freezer! My sugar pangs went away after the 1st week, and I generally don't go super crazy with carbs (pasta once a week). Right now with being pregnant, I am finding that amounts I might normally eat are making me feel bloated and uncomfortably full, so I am trying to be more conscious of that.

Default Carb cravings

Hi Phil, I think we all go through withdrawls differently....My drink of choice was/is beer. I haven't had a beer for, day 4 for me this time, ( been more off it than on it for a month now!) YEAH!... anyway, sorry.... I have been craving carbs! and lots of them, I think that is because I use to drink beer all the time. Maybe the ones who drank wine crave the sweets...
Just my thougts, Anyway, way to go on the six days, keep going and go ahead and eat...look at all the calories you are saving by not drinking !

As for advice, other than not worrying about it....try drinking lots of water and exercising...The All One also fills me up I have noticed. That is one of the Supps.in the book. Not sure if that is one of the Vit.s that you ordered....

Good Luck, your doing Great!

Default Green tea and regular meals

I havent experienced fogginess (beyond normal weariness or tiredness one gets at the end of a long day although it is alittle different?, but not worse)...hard to explain. It goes away immediately with mental effort especially talking to people, and is instantly dissolved by exercise. Green tea and coffee are also helpful for me. I was very worried about this side effect and had long conversations about it with my personal physician before starting. She said, " Dont worry, it probably wont happen." We decided if does and it becomes too bothersome, that I cut back or increase more slowly. (or change strategies)

I have a profession where I communicate delicate information and make alot of decisions. (I am a health care professional in private practice) I have to read and write complex information as well as speak and think it. The times I have found myself spaced out have been when I have gone too long without eating. So watch out for that!!!

Best of luck

Default ALL ONE curbing appetite

The All One sure seems to curb my appetite. Weight has never been an issue for me. I've always had a really high metabolism, so usually eat every couple of hours. I came home from work last night at 8 pm. I hadn't eaten since noon and that was a light lunch. I wasn't famished like I usually am. I just ate some chicken to keep my protein intake up. It sure seemed related to the All One as I have only been on it for 3 days. Gina
