Default In response to question about ALL One

#1 it’s a powder, I don't want to take any more pills if I don't have to. The other thing is that my energy level and mood is really good and level now. I'm fairly certain it has to be the ALL ONE. I'm also impressed with the ingredients, it has everything except the kitchen sink, vitamins, minerals, aminos, and I got the fruit blend so it has antioxidants as well.

I take it first thing in the morning, and that's it :-)

Default Addressing the sugar cravings

Hi Ruby, this reminded me of when I stopped drinking really heavy and was going mad searching for suger. I couldn't shovel it in fast enough. It does re-inforce that the supps really do take the cravings away. The L-glut is great for that at least for me but I do beleive it is a combination of taking the All in One, the Kudzu and the L GLut and whatever else is in the book. They are my three stables. I take the L Glut first thing in the morning with water before I take anything else and then I take it as part of the program. Ialso take an extra dosage at about 4:00 to get me ready for heading home.

Another trick is to take some diabetic candy and just suck on them when you get a craving.

Good luck

Default Response to question about limiting amount of iron

Hi there.

This is something each of you will you'll want to take up with your doctor but the basic concern is iron overload. Men only require 10 mg per day and can usually achieve it if their diet includes red meats, whole grains and leafy vegetables. They are unable to lose iron through menses as premenopausal women do, and there's concern that iron buildup is unhealthy for cardiovascular and other systems. This goes for both sexes. You may wish to research.

Women who are still menstruating have an RDA of 18 mg of iron and it's not generally recommended that post menopausal women take an iron supplement (although vegetarians are sometimes found to have low iron stores in liver, muscle and bone marrow.) Again, something to discuss with your health care provider.

The original All One formula contains 18 mg of iron. Here's how the others rank:

Rice Base: Iron free
Green Phyto Base: 9 mg
Fruit Anti-oxidant: Iron free
Active Senior: Iron free

You can do additional comparisons and find more details at All One's site. (www.all-one.com/en/supple...erals.htm)

We feel the best thing to do is select the formula most appropriate for your health needs and if necessary, supplement with additional amino acids. As I mentioned, we'll have a blend to match the Original Formula within a couple of weeks, but if you don't want to wait, you can search online using the chart I linked above.

Default Sugar Cravings Pass

I remember for a while my hubby thought I was bonkers. Previously I'd never had much of a sweet tooth and there I was having brandy snaps with cream and other yummy biccies for lunch everday and muffins, cake and icecream every night for dinner. I thought it was because I was giving up smoking as well as the booze.

Don't worry - the sugar craving definitely does pass.

Default Response to question about thirst

Since you are not drinking you are probably finally feeling the dehydrating effects of alchohol. Drink tons of water, though a sports drink will probably be better in helping you with the thirst and the cravings. Alchohol is sugar, which the sports drink will help replace as well as rehydrate you.

Default Blending ALL ONE

I was finding it a bit of a hassle to mess with the blender and all associated cleanup each morning while trying to get out of the house and off to work. It was too easy to skip this all important step in starting each day.

One Saturday I saw an infomercial on TV for this little blender that would blend a drink in one of six cups that you could unscrew the mixing blade, rinse it and attach a rim to alow one to drink the beverage while on the way to work and clean the mixing cup at work.

This works great especially if one wants to blend some ice cubes after mixing the ALL IN ONE. Nice wake up drink.

Default Swapping ALL One

I accidently bought the ALL ONE Rice base formula while at the health food store. The only difference that I can read from the label is that it has about 1000 less mg of glutamine in it than the original formula. However, it mixes so much smoother, so much less clumpier than the original formula. I just use that and take one extra l-glutamine. I's worth it for me.

Default Other beverages

First let me say that I have just started this week, and I am going for moderation, not abstinence. All the same, I wanted to remove the temptation, so currently have had no alcohol in my house for over a week, and I am totally fine with it. It has actually removed some of the stress. I live way out in the country and am a newly single mom with two young kids, a busy career, and a packed schedule so a quick trip to the store in desperation is that much harder for me.

Just this week, I picked up a nice NY strip at the grocery store and was headed for the red wine when I passed these beautiful fresh flowers, and decided that instead of 3 bottles of wine, I would buy myself three dozen roses - orange, medium pink and dark pink. They are gorgeous! And the steak was the best I've ever cooked too...

I also have been drinking tea in the evening (and during the day) and have found it to be really satisfying. I am addicted to Jasmine Green Tea that I sweeten with a packet of Stevia - oddly enough, my palate detects a hint of concord grape, so maybe on some level my brain thinks it is getting wine!!!

We did have some beer in the fridge at work (DO, in fact) and I was really craving one at the end of a hard day this week, but decided I was just thirsty, and fixed myself a nice cold fizzy lemon instead: glass of seltzer, packet of Stevia and a packet of True Lemon crystals. It totally did the trick.

All this stuff works great for me, day-to-day. My real problem is with social events. Just got the CD, god I hope it helps.

Default New Beverage of Choice

I have found something that I really enjoy drinking. If any of you are at all into hot tea and live in a big city, then you most likely have a store called "Teavana" at your local mall. They have tea in there that is way beyond anything you every bought at the grocery store. It is all loose leaf and you buy it buy the weight. But you can sample it and smell them before you buy, and they have every flavor imaginable. They even have rich chocolates, caramels, and of course all the fruity as well, all in decaf or regular. I have found a few that are do delicious, and with the cold weather it makes it an alternative to carrying around my wine glass at night. Of course there's no "buzz" to go with it, but the flavor is so good and it warms me up... nice treat to go along with a bubble bath. Another huge plus for those of you who have teenager daughters.... they really get into the hot tea thing! So instead of the drinking being something that separates you, it can be an invitation to meet in the kitchen and share time together. The sound of hot tea brewing always lures my daughter out of her bedroom and she gets all sweet and snuggly! Whooda thunk??

I hope this helps somebody! Oh... and its something sweet without any calories (I use Splenda to sweeten).
