Number of drinks I have had this week: 1
Number of drinks I was having per week before starting MWO: 20-25+ Amount of money I have personally spent on alcohol since starting MWO: $0 Week I am on: First day of week 8. Pounds I have lost: 10 Just thought I would give the newbies alittle inspiration, This program is GREAT! happy weekend to all. |

Way to Go, Vida!
I just wrote a long post regarding how I love MWO's counting as opposed to the AA way of counting. MWO is so much more positive and really tunes in to how much less you are drinking spending, etc. AA seems to want to keep counting until you have 1 drink and then smack on the nose and back to the end of the line. I don't want to get down on AA, but it seems really counterproductive to be waiting for failure rather than rewarding success. Anyway, good for you. I remember when you first started coming to this board, sounding bleary eyed and desperate (like me!) and now you sound terrific. I'm so excited for you. Take care, Kel |

I loved all the posts above! I began the program over a year ago and learned how to drink moderately. Like this month, I will occasionally do months of no drinking at all. I like to do that just to keep my system clean and I think it really helps keep me in check and allows me stay on my path of moderation. I still do the hypno even after a year and especially during my no drinking months.
