Need,
I too work at home. Also I travel about 8 days a month. So I have lots of alone time. My work at the home office is mostly on the computer and it can become boring. So what do I do? Well, I open a beer of course. Ya know if you start at 3pm or earlier you can consume a lot of beer by 10 pm.

I have been aware of this program since July 2005. I tried Topa and did not like it. I do use the supplements and they have helped with the physical cravings. The mental cravings still creep up when boredom comes around. So I have to be aware of those triggers.
So far I have only made it 7 days in a row AF. However I have had some months this year with 10 AFD's. It is progress, not as fast as I would like, but it is a journey.
As others have said, you are welcome to join us on this journey.
Love and Peace,
Phil

You guys are making me feel so much better. I thought that I'd start the program and that would be it. When that wasn't "it" I thought I was a hopeless loser. It's true that the supplements make me feel better and my drinking is more in control. It is a journey and I am doing better than before, just not as well as I had hoped.

Thanks Phil.

Default RE 'dont like Topa....

cpn1004
just curious, why didn't you like the Topa?
Did you have a bad reaction to it? Did it not work for you? what dosage were you taking?

Thanks!

Default newbee too

Hi there,

I am VERY new too......only discovered the website yesterday, and I ordered the book, but haven't gotten it or read it yet.....AA hasn't worked so far so I am hoping this does.

I would like to hear more about the Topamax because I was going to ask my doc to prescribe it to me today.

Thanks for any support you guys can give.

Hi I'm Katie and I also have a chronic drinking problem. I do understand how you feel. I can easily be drunk by lunchtime and crave social interaction, have friends that encourage it and feel that theres no way out.
When I have tried to stop theres always someone around to make me feel better about drinking although my life is spiralling out of control. Also the cravings always get the better of me.
Maybe we can help each other?
