Gina, You're great! I love the skating, too! Yeah, good luck, to Emily! I'm watching the short programs right now. Did you watch the ice dancers? My brother-in-law calls them the "ice prancers". I felt sooooo bad for the one that fell so badly on her hip. I felt she was one of the most beautiful skaters. I hate when that happens.
Keep in touch! Let me know what you think! So great to find another skating aficionadano! Adria |

Wow! I saw both Emily and Sasha skate! I loved Emily but Sasha was incredible - both nights! Too bad she fell on the second night - but you know - it happens in ice skating. I always loved Kurt Browning and he never got a medal in the Olympics - yet he's still skating incredibbly well! Emily and Sasha are only going to get better and better. They are still both very young! And very good comment were made about Michell Kwan's skating and personality. I've been very very busy and tied up and had my first day of feeling well today after a three month long period of an unexplained illness. Yay!!! So I've been away from the message board for a few days trying to catch up at work.

I am sorry to see the Olympics go also! I loved all of it, skating, sking....you name it! My family and I really enjoyed all the speed skating, snowboarding and figure skating this year plus all others... I am sorry to see it end!

I'm sorry to see it go too. So much more uplifting and worthwhile than many of the shows that are typically on I think - yet these winter sports go on all the time, but we don't get that much chance to see them except for big time events like the Olympics. My mom lives close to the Canadian border and gets a lot more hockey and skating on TV there. Sigh, sigh, sigh. I love the speed skating, snowboarding, and skiing too, though I've never tried those sports - I'm afraid I would break an ankle or worse! Well, we'll have to start another thread for the next exciting thing that comes along!
