Geez I guess this isn't such a good post to start the day with! Sooorrryyy! I had a ruff night @ work last night, and I opened my little book to this page...:rolleyes
So, Where is everybody? I hope it wasn't something I said!:eek How's everyone doing? Think I'm getting a case of the Mid-month Bla's... Maybe just this grey weather. Last night at work one of the cooks was such a nasty grump, it really sucked! She has a very strong personality, and barks like an army sargeant.... When she's in a bad mood, it's like a cancer that spreads thru the whole restaurant,...:( I can usually just smile & go on my way, but she even started to get to me last night. By the end of the night, I felt like taking her out back and asking her if she felt any better by making everyone around her tiptoe? Maybe she's having problems at home or something... Good thing she doesn't work for tips! ol Oh well, I guess we can't be charming ALL of TIME!:b It seems to bother some people!:rollin |

Thanks Donna!
On that note! Time for a joke... Who's the most popular guy at the nudist colony? The guy who can carry two cups of coffee AND a dozen donuts!!:b ol And speaking of work... The subway car was packed. It was rush hour, and many people were forced to stand. One particularly cramped woman turned to the man behind her and said, "Sir, if you don't stop poking me with your thing, I'm going to call the cops!" "I don't know what your talking about miss- that's just my pay check in my pocket." "Oh really," she spat. "Then you must have some job, because that's the fifth raise you've had in the last half hour!":rollin |

I'm here also....just lurking in the back ground, wasn't sure if I wanted to post. But I will because I am Proud of myself!
Day 14 AF and DAY 2 Smoke FREE!!! After 21 years of smoking pretty much 2 packs a day this is my second day of being a non-smoker!-- Doing good....I was ready and prepared this time! I just stay positive at all time and when I have a craving I remember all the reasons why I quit (pretty much the same as quitting drinking) and laugh when I reach for my cigs and they aren't there! Have a great weekend and Take care all, ~Tammie |

Hey Judie,
I am sorry you got lonely - I stopped in real quick this morning but had to get those 6 brochures back out the door. WAAAAAHOOOO! I am finished with that for the day . . .until they change the text . . . again!:( Always great working with the government. You gotta wonder sometimes where they get these people!! ol Anyway, I am sorry the cook was a pain - you are right . . .it a good thing she doesn't work for tips or she would starve. :evil I liked the quote - I use to be there a few years back - took awhile to get past it all. Kathy - glad you are doing well with your mom. Donna and Tawny, thanks for checking in! I went overboard last night - reaction to hubby's recreational extras he has been up to. goes off his antidepressants and it a royal pain. I was running away from him. Had 3 rum strong rum and cokes and just didn't talk to him or I would have lost it. This morning I had a headache and the calmness to chat about how upsetting his behavior has been. The Trigger to ignore - huh? Well, I am not totally pissed at myself today as I use to do that quite a few times in a week. So - with the networking happy hour plus a B'day party to go to this evening, I think I may stick to water as I still have a headache. Haven't had the time to do the CDs - I fell asleep - passed out would be a better description while I was listening to the clearing tape last night. Have the whole Father's Day deal at my house. Can be stressful but I am so happy I still have both my parents around. That is special! Happy weekend to all, Hugs, Mary PS: I would skip eating the donuts but be happy to help him unload them! :rollin |
