Default day 18

Given enough pressure & heat, common graphite turns into diamonds. But the process occurs only if the conditions are right, & only over time. The recovery process is something like that- certain conditions must be met over a period of time.
Making a free & Happy life is a work of art. Writers write every day of their lives. Artists are never far from their craft. Our task is not so different. Scant effort produces a scant result. If we want something beautiful, we'll have to give our recovery process, consistent, daily attention, that brings beauty into being. And if the process involves some heat & pressure, then so it must be...Diamonds don't come quik or cheap... :P

Yeah!!! New emoticons!!! For someone like me who likes to use them liberally throughout my posts, this is great!!!

I'm up early because I have to go to a Sunday morning seminar!! Uggh!! Something I promised when I wasn't thinking about what it would really mean to get up at 6 am on a Sunday morning!!!>: :eek At any rate, I'm sure it will be a good seminar, and I'm going with a good friend :d ; additionally, I will hopefully see some people that I haven't seen in ages, since it is down in DC, so that might make it worth it for hauling my butt out of bed.

Anyway, Judie, I like it over here on the Mods board (re: yesterday), I've just been uncharacteristically busy!

At any rate, I am enjoying having my Mom here. My drinking remains at the not great/not horrible rate of 2-3 drinks/day.

I like your quote for the morning, Judie. I am thinking that I am going to have to be more on the ball if I am going to reach further toward my potential and take better care of the things that I need to take care of. Good words of wisdom!!

You're doing great here. It just gets slow sometimes. I remember feeling a little lonely sometimes too!:c

Love to all!
Kathy :P

Hope ya have a great time at your seminar Kathy. Glad you & Mom are havin a good visit.:d

Bad Bernie was in prison for 7 years. The day he got out, his wife and son were there to pick him up. He came through the gates & got into the car.

The only thing he said was, "F.F."

His wife turned to him and answered, "E.F."

Out on the highway, he said "F.F."

She responded simply "E.F."

He repeated "F.F."

"Mom! Dad!" their son yelled from the back seat. "What's going on?"

Bad Bernie ansered, "Your mother wants to eat first" :d ol

(She's obviously not on topa!)ol

Lookin like another pretty day here, at least till 4:00, when I get to go do my "aerobics waitin training!":ol :rollin :p
Probably go squeez in a quik paddle & tanning session first... good for the abs(abdominals) and attitude! River Hydro therapy!appy :P

Doing fine here. Let me share a thought with my moderating mates.

"May the fleas of 1000 camels infest the crotch of the person who screws up your day, and may their arms be too short to scratch".

Tawny.

PS Is there an itchy icon?

You're running full board with arn arm load of plates... and someone asks for more water...when their glass is still 1/2 full! "Excuse me..." Where would you like that?"appy

I just saw a little silver fox run across our yard, when I pulled into the driveway... He ran right across the yard...cute little guy.
