Default Day 20

Yay! Drank like a normal person last night. The plagues are gone, at least for now...... 2 glasses of wine last night. I felt relatively at peace for the first time in a while. It is a good feeling.

Even when I haven't listened to the hypno tapes on schedule, I have been repeating the cue: "You breathe out the thought, urge, and crave to abuse alcohol as you exhale. You breathe in an inner calm as you inhale." It has been helpful. When I feel stressed, I do this. I have been doing it for several days now, and I am finding it helpful. It helps to give me the feeling that whatever situation I find myself in is temporary and will pass.

I don't feel like things are resolved yet, but I feel like I am getting back to the path (hopefully) and can regain my bearings.

Hope everyone has a good day.

Hugs,
Kathy

Happy day 20!

That is great Kathy! I am so happy for you. I don't remember hearing that part of the CD. I have one track on clearing and since I am on a portable - I am not sure that second track is on there. Guess I should go find another CD player to try and see if there is more on them than I am hearing.

Judie, Hope you are sleeping in!

Was AF yesterday. My mom dropped some bad news on me last night. Instead of hitting the bottle, I went in and listened to the CD's we didn't get dinner til 8:30. I was quite calm considering. . . she will have surgery on Monday. She has had her share of terrible health lately with a super compromised immune system . . . last thing she needed was multiple spots all over her mammograms and tissue too thin to do needle biopsies on. My dad has had so many cancer surgeries himself and is quite calm about his own - He freaks big time over my mom though. I will reschedule my day to be with them. Her doctor told her to have her daughters checked for the cancer gene. Didn't mention I had been in last week because my breast was bugging me. I am such a believer in positive thinking - simple thoughts of Mom and I are heatlhy are running through my head.

Hugs to all,
Mary

Hi Mary,

So sorry to hear about your mother, but you handled it so beautifully. I'm sorry to hear about you too. Please take care of yourself. Positive thinking is a powerful thing (words of wisdom that I need to listen to more, myself:rolleyes ). The words that I referred to are on Part 2 of the hypnotherapy CD, not the clearing CD. You can also find them on James' website, www. hypnotictapes.com. I copied them down and tried to memorize them, but the hypnotic cue did stay with me.

I'm sure you are a great comfort to your folks.

Hope someone else decides to pop on here today!!

Hugs,
Kathy

Mornin All! Yep, I was sleeping in... have been fighting a wicked headache the past 2 days, and it's still lingering....:( didn't even go outside much yesterday, on a sunny day off...:c Suprising, taking Topa... but this feels pretty darn close to a migraine...:rolleyes

Mary, sorry to hear about your Mother, I'll be thinking about you & your folks... I'm glad you're close by for them (and for you..:d )

Kathy, Thanks for taking "The Wheel" this morning, while I snoozed! Guess I needed it! I woke up when, Scott left, but went right back to sleep till just now...:eek I fell asleep listening to the Hypno part 2 cd in the Ab Lounge yesterday. Woke up just in time to count down the last 5 counts! Think I'll try it again today ...now that I'm more rested!
Congrats on drinking like a "Normie", feels good ...don't it?:p

Mary I am sorry to hear about your Mom. I wanted to let you know that my Mom is a 3 year Breast Cancer Survivor!! And Both my Grandmothers are 20+ year Breast Cancer Survivors!! I hope and pray that your Mother's turns out Begign but if not there has been so much research done on Breast cancer and more being found each day! Keep those Positive thoughts....I had a lump removed about 6 years ago, turned out being a one of those fibroid lumps that can mask themselves....anyway you and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers!

Kathy good job on last night! Sounds like you are getting a handle on things and getting things back in order. It is nice when things start to fall back into place and our lives start to settle down a bit.

Hey Becca.....Hope you had a wonderful Anniversary last night!!! As for the fund raisers....can't help you much there. For the schools we pretty much do the same things every year. Sell cookie dough, silent auctions, candies....that sort of thing! Baseball and such sells there own thing....popcorn, pizza; Sorry. Good luck, hopefully everything will start falling into place for you with that. Enjoy the yoga class tomorrow that sounds like fun!

Judie...Hope you are out enjoying your day off in the Great Outdoors! (edit added) Sorry I was posting when you were. Sorry about your headache hope it gets better soon! With the topa you would think none of us would get headaches at all:eek !

Me...Get a relaxing day today with no running around! Those are nice to have every once in awhile. I know Summer with kids gets very busy running someone here or there, going here and there....fun but hectic. Here are my stats: day 18 Af and day 6 smoke free!!!.....I know I should go over the the abs board but I don't post everyday and I just like to post it because I am so proud of my 6 days smoke free! That is huge for me!!!

Have a Great Day all!

Hi ladies,

Thanks so much you three - you are oh so sweet!

Kathy, I will try the other tape this evening. It is on my list for then. I like that one better than the clearing one I think anyway.

Judie, allergies or coming down with something? You work a lot of hours around a lot of people and their germs huh?!! Hope you feel better sooooon!

Tammie, I am so proud of your accomplishments. I did two months last fall on stopping smoking and found I was starting back up big time on the drinking for it's replacement. WOW! You are doing great!

Have a great evening ladies and thanks again for your support!

:d
Mary

Hey All!

Judie, you listen to the Cd's on an ab lounge? Like on the infomercials?? Is it comfortable??? Should I get one and kill two birds with one stone? NOT at the same time of course!ol I didn't know that you could sleep in them too! Hope that your headache is feeling better!

Mary, I know that you will keep the faith on this journey. I am very impressed with you, and I think that you are very sweet!

Tammie!! What can I say! I hope you will stay here and keep crowing about your accomplishments! I am so impressed! You are very inspiring!

Lotsa Love,
Kathy:P

Actually Kathy, yes it is just like the ones on the info -mercials. I do my workout to music first ... then have the stereo set up to change over to the next disc... which is hypno 2. It usually works pretty well. But I'm not gonna do it on days I have to work... don't trust myself!:\ |I :eek :rolleyes

But they are really comfortable... great for jumping into during a commercial... or when Hubby's watchin something really boring!! Like golf...:rolleyes Just don't get the "spectator:eek 8) at 8o r" part about that...and I'm pretty easily amused...:rollin ol
