Default Day 22

All is well this morning. I exercised, ate right, and abstained again last night. And feel verry nice this morning.

I love Judie's quote from yesterday. All month they've been so timely and poignant. Judie you have a nack.

Becca -- you need one of these everydayicons.com/ImagesL...els114.jpg

I gave one to my girlfriend who has the same type of husband. Is he German descent? :P I love that website for a humorous gift. They cover every topic imaginable.

We leave tomorrow for NC, I need to be mindful while sitting around yacking and keep a good count, take sups.

I can't believe July is around the corner. Yikes!

HE IS OF GERMAN DESCENT!!! whoa-- spooky.
And the type of person who is used to getting his way, bad temper! Now, you are wondering why I am married to him... he is usually extremely kind and loving! Wonderful father and USUALLY an over the top loving husband when it comes to showing outward displays of appreciation. Had a bad moment. I'm gonna let it go FOR NOW>

Lois, that card is awesome!!! Thank you!:d I printed it up right away and it actually looks quite pretty! Gonna put it on the fridge and see when he notices:evil . Wouldn't dare leave it on the counter. That is "clutter".

Brutal storms here last night! Tornadoes and thunder storms. Had to spend the evening in the basement. Funny/cute story: we were playing Monopoly cuz our satelite signal was knocked out. Our 4 yr old landed on a property that he wanted to buy.
he said "how much is it, Daddy?"
"140 bucks"
"140 BUCKS?????" you should have seen the look on his face, like this was complete extortion and he simply could not stand for such robbery. "I'll just give ya 20" he says!!
OMG! I was crying I laughed so hard.
Twas a good evening. I had 3 gl. wine btwn 5:30 and 10pm, hubby had a beer and a cigar.

Kathy, you feeling better?
How is everyone today? 21st of the month. Almost time to start thinking about July plans, hard to believe. I think I know mine already...it's a secret so far though, cuz I'm not sure.
Have a great one!

Hi All,

Yes, Becca, I'm okay....more just the usually daily ups and downs, not in a funk anymore. Haven't heard another peep from awful ex-wedded, and I don't expect to. I am mobilized to get some legal stuff done regarding him, however, and that is the silver lining in the cloud of the upheaval over the weekend.

I'm also thinking ahead to July and what I want to do or possibly change. I'm dying to know your "secret", Becca! I guess we'll all find out in good time though....

Lois, I'm envious of your going to North Carolina. The Outer Banks of North Carolina is just one of my favorite places. I hope you have a great time and that you meet your goals re:d rinking. Staying on track is hard when you are out of your routine, but I know you can do it!

I hope you don't get upset, Becca, when I make observations about your hubby. I want to clarify that I know that he is terrific most of the time--you have always said so. I wouldn't imagine that you would be married to him otherwise.

Anyway, I'm okay. I've been really tired lately, which, combined with topa and being pretty religious about taking my supps, is limiting my drinking. 2 glasses last night. Also, I'm drinking out of smaller glasses, too, which helps. It is funny to me, how alcohol gives me a false sense of adrenaline, and how I am more tired when I drink less. It's weird.

Anyway, that's all for now!! Love and hugs to everyone!:d :d

Hi All...I'm back finally...I had a weird week. Just weird and too much to explain.

Becca...holy crap...my house looks aweful. Don't even feel bad. I have a maid service that comes once a week just to clean the bathrooms and kitchen and they refused to clean my 14 yr old daughter's and 12 yr old son's bathroom. I told the kids to pick up in there before she came so she could clean but they didn't of course. That's pathetic when your maid won't even clean! Well...I made the kids do it and they had to do it til I was satisfied. I give up!! I just want a clear path from the door to the kitchen to my room....

Lois...NC sounds wonderful. I would love to escape this Texas heat. Hope you have a great time! :D

Kathy...ex trouble??? It must be in the air. That was my problem last week. Only mine wants to come back. :eek Yeah right!!! UG!! After all that I felt like I needed my brain scrubbed. When he came to see the kids...he actually tried to hug and kiss me!!! YUCK!!! :x

My plan is going well...staying in line.

Have a good one!!
Hope

Default Day 22

Becca -- you can actually buy the Our Lady Of Perpetual Housekeeping as a candle on that website and light it!

My friend's husband is also German descent and I know a few others, including myself, who are part German and neat-nicks. We just can't help ourselves! LOL

I try to relax about cleaning and can tolerate dust but not clutter. I won't let junk mail or catalogs in the house. I sort it in the garage, and put in the recycle bin before I even walk in the door. My hubby would let it stack up for years. He leaves his dresser drawers open a bit all the time and I go around shutting all the drawers. I use to SLAM them and get mad but now I just accept it and quietly shut everyone of them.

I'm sure you have a wonderful husband, he just happens to be German. LOL!

I actually cleaned one of my coworkers desks for him last week because there was so much clutter I couldn't stand working in his cube. He laughed and let me sort and toss (with his permission on the tosses).....I know, I'm sick....:x

We should start a neat-nicks thread!!! I'm not a neat-nick, but I used to be fairly organized. My ex has ADHD (I think I have developed it over the years, or maybe just TOO overwhelmed:eek ), but I gave up with both him and a toddler. I used to tell him that I would do his laundry if he could manage to get it in the hamper, but I was not his personal maid. I resorted to just throwing it all in his closet and closing the door. Now my daughter is the teenage tornado. I find thongs stuffed in the sofa cushions, bras draped over the bannisters, etc. And the shoes.... You'd think this townhouse would be big enough for us but NOOOO! My daughter needs a separate WING! And a personal maid!:rollin Needless to say, I'm not it!!!

I do have a friend who is in cat-rescue, though, and her housekeeping skills are definitely on an extended vacation. When I go to visit, I often rearrange her freezer and refrigerator, where things are piled helter skelter. At first, she was insulted, but then she realized I meant well and began to laugh at my antics!!! I wish I had such energy for my own mess!!!

At any rate, I'm half German, but my sense of work and order is NOT overdeveloped....My father (German) had a good sense of playfulness, and he actually wanted my mom to have a maid, but she thought she could clean better than a maid and refused. (Can you imagine???:eek )

Lois, I also get rid of the junk mail, immediately! I've got enough clutter as it is!!!

Lots of :d

Morning All! Finally woke my sleepy head up! Must be something in the air with that too! Even the doggies are snoozin' right along with me! I got up about 5:30, and drank a glass of water, then zonked right back out! Couldn't be all that sunshine & paddling...:b ...

Lois, you can come de-clutter my house anytime!! It might take a while tho...:o Sounds like you're doing really well in your neck of the woods, great job!

Becca, Well I did get the vaccum cleaner out yesterday & plug it in.... that's as far as I got with that...:rolleyes ....It's the thought that counts.... ol I bet I could make your Hubby blow a fuse or 2 real quik HUH?
Sounds like a romantic evening in the basement...:d
A secret huh? I'm not even gonna try to guess, what you might be up to...:rolleyes

Kathy, I second the feeling of being tired....But I guess I have reason to be, with these long beautiful days, I just try & pack in as much as I can. It's light till 9:00pm so that gives a person a lot of time to get tired !!:p
I'm back to work tonight, so I'll get back to my routine of posting before I go to beddy-by, I'm usually a bit wired from work when I get home anyway...:eek

Hope, Welcome back! We've missed ya! I'm sure you've been dealing with that "Ex",and will be; for quite some time.... ...but please be careful. It seems they always know what buttons to push...:rolleyes ... Stick to your guns & be strong girl!

Well I'm gonna force myself to do some chores today, then maybe squeeze in a little play time before work...:P Judie

This is too funny about the housekeeping thing! Everyone has a different sense of what is clean, cluttered, dirty, downright disgusting! I would give my scale on what is what, but I'm always afraid of who might read this and I don't want to offend anyone... so never mind! I'm just right in the middle, I think. The bathrooms are clean, maybe not tidy, but no toilet rings! (the boys have bad aim, it's a constant wiping job). If the carpets get looking a bit bad, they get vaccuumed, same with washing the kitchen floor. The counters are mostly always wiped. Maybe a dish or two in the sink, but rarely piled up unless we just ate. Keeping up with the laundry pretty well. The bills? I'm trying to keep them all holed up in a closet now where no one will see but me. Don't know how the hell I'm supposed to pay them if they are not allowed to be out...

OH SCREW IT. It's the goddang best I can do and no one else who comes in ever has a complaint! If company is coming, it looks very nice.

Kathy, I never get upset with your observations about my husband!! When he acts up, he really does a doozey! I need the reassurance, trust me, because I end up feeling sooo crappy afterwards, and all I can come up with sometimes is "well, F- you." Brilliant. So at least you have more insight than that!

Hey Judie!
