Morning All!
We are into the home stretch here! How are you all feeling? I don't know about you, but waking up this morning, I feel like the world is just starting to even out a bit. I'm happy to feel that way! I think that everyone had grown through this month, even when growing has meant making mistakes, small and large! For myself, I learn the BEST when I have made mistakes! It's one thing to learn in theory, but it really is different to have learned in practice, don't you think? As long as we don't have to do too much practicing to get this thing right? Huh? ol What I have noticed here is that while there has been a general air of forgiveness toward self and other, people have taken their slips and flops relatively seriously without a whole lot of self-flagellation. Anyway, those are my thoughts for today! Hope you all have a good one! HUgs, Kathy |

I was able to leave work early yesterday and enjoyed about 1.5 of sunshine before I dove into some chores. I thought about a beer after chores as a reward but I hadn't started dinner and realized I was pretty darn tired so a beer certainly wasn't going to help. So I passed on the beer idea.
I'm impressed with everyone's progress this month. I think having the forum has definitely helped me not beat myself up when I don't follow the plan perfectly, but reflect and move on. I hope we have a June moderation too! Tonight is a traditional mtn bike night at the park where I broke my knee cap in March. I'm finally strong enough to ride there and will return tonight. There will be a big turnout since the weather is perfect, trails are dry, and it's going to rain tomorrow. It's a Wednesday tradition to drink a couple beers and roast hot dogs post-ride. I find moderation makes decision a little more complex as we have discussed before. Abs is black/white. Ideally no drinks on Wednesday but it's the Wednesday Weiner Ride and I haven't been to it in 10 weeks. I have abstained the last 3 nights and I'm moderating not abstaining so I will set a 2 beer limit. In the past I've often had a couple post-ride beers and then go home and have 1-2 more -- that's the stupid part I need to avoid since it's mindless drinking. Now I need to NOT crash. :rollin Lois |

Hey Lois "Watch out for that Gravity Storm!" Ever heard that Jimmy Buffet song? I think I've lived it a few times, myself!
ol Have fun on your ride! I had a nice day off yesterday... cept for the rain, but it's still pretty on the coast ... all misty... Big excitement:b got to go to the $ store yesterday!! The nearest one is in the next town down the coast, & we had to take Sammy(the BIG dog) back for a check-up @vet. So it was a pretty day for a ride down the drizzly coast. And, YES, I AM EASILY AMUSED! HA! Good thing, Livin here!:D So tonight it's down to Whaleshead Cove for dinner. Grandma's 98th Birthday- actually her Bday's tomorro, but dinner tonight, cake tomorro....I can't wait to give her that wacky card I got for her!:eek She'll probably laugh & slap me! good day All! We definitely have to continue this in June! Have loved checking in every day with you all, and certainly feel the support and accountability of having to post each day. I think Lois and Kathy have summed it up nicely today.
I have abstained for 3 days as well. Planning on it again today. My stomach is sick AGAIN. Now, I KNOW I'm not hungover, so what the hell is going on???? Guess what stupid me did yesterday? Googled Human Parasite Infection. DON'T EVER DO THAT. Now I'm sure I have every symptom in the book, and I'm sure my body is just full of a multitude of little aliens and beasts just like Sigorney Weaver and they are having a party and roasting marshmallows or drinking whiskey and smoking cigars in there and they are sapping my life force and I can't run and I have gas all the time now and I feel like I'm gonna puke. I'm going to the herbal store now to buy a parasite cleanse cuz in the past 16 months or so I've been to Mexico 2x and Costa Rica once and we eat sushi and medium rare steak and god knows what when I'm drunk. So I'm gonna erradicate the little mother f-ers if that's what it is. Or maybe I just have gas. OK, bye. Bec PS. I do hope everyone has I nice day. Don't ever google that, please!!!! I love you too much!!!!0] 0] 0] |
