Peace is not won by contention, chance, or submission. And there is no such thing as peace by aquisition of money or fame. No outside reality, as a matter of fact, can make good on the promise of peace.
Some people from dysfunctional families live in the light of peace, and some seemingly ideal families have lives of constant chaos. Poor people include both the happy and the the miserable, just as wealthy people do. Neither money nor background gaurantees a peaceful heart :P Who we are right now is the central issue- not what we possess or where we came from. Peace is an inner reality for those who come to accept that which cannot be changed, and take up the struggle against that which must be dealt with. Because peace is a prize of the spirit, it is accessible to all of us.:P "If you do not find peace in yourself you will never find it anywhere else." P. Bendry |

Good morning all! Another dreary day here in Maryland. I am glad though, because we so need the rain, and it will do a lot to stave off the drought that we were heading for this summer.
Driving home from PA yesterday, I ran through downpour after downpour, so when I got home, I was VERY ready for a couple of drinks (2.5), dinner, and an early bedtime, where I read and was asleep by 10pm. I'm STILL tired this morning! I'm still searching for that elusive peace, Judie, I feel it when I'm listening to the hypnotapes, but it sure is hard to feel peaceful on any kind of ongoing basis! It is a goal worth striving for, however. Hope that everyone is well this morning and that you are getting a bit more sunshine in your neck of the woods!!! Hugs, Kathy:d |

Morning everybody...
appy Well today's my Friday!! appy ...Finally! Loooong Week Here! Tourist season seems to be pretty much in full swing...:eek It does get crazy! Most people are real nice and just out to enjoy life... but some of em....well, ya know...:rolleyes .... I had another one last night that held up his water glass(still OVER 1/2 full), while I'm runnin ASAP... with arms full of plates..., and say "WE need more water" ...I almost told him , "Well ya see that body of water right outside the window there? It's the Rogue River, go stick your head in it ....& drink all ya want!" And while you're at it ....":rollin Good thing he caught me in a good mood! ol Some people just don't know how to relax & enjoy what they have in front of them! Ok done rantin'. .....Thanx! Mary Ann, hey girl, when I first got into this program I was drinking a 12pk a day...at least. And it wasn't even my birthday...:( I was in pretty bad shape! Hang in there. I know for a fact that this program does work wonders! I think these message boards and the support are a huge part of it. Also the Topa has made a big difference for me. I started a little bit @ a time due to finances. I do believe it all works great together. But however you can swing it, will work too. I wish we lived closer to each other we could do some kayak trips with horseback shuttles! We do have a big field out in back of our house that used to have horses in it... maybe someday..... Although my Hubby saw a Cougar stalking a Wild Turkey out there last week. Right in broad daylight! Kinda scarey! Because it's just over the fence from our back yard! I guess it was a pretty big cat too! I saw another little Silver Fox last night on the way home from work... they must be making a come-back around here... Horney little devils... ol sooo cute!Kathy, Hope you're enjoying the rain... as much as I'm enjoying the sunshine here! The day before yesterday it got up to 100* @ our house by 10:30 AM, that's pretty rare, here! That time of day, & this early in the season! great if your on the river... ol :P Judie |

Judie, Kayaking w/ horse shuttles sounds great, wow cougars and grey foxes!! We have red foxes but I am not fond of them, cuz they are offing our chickens one by one.....we are down from 12 to 4!!!!
I will hang in there and keep posting to all you sweet people, have alot of time on my hands, so it is easy to do........Can't wait to get the topa, as everyone says it helps! I am hopeful for a change, instead of hopeless!!! Mary Anne |
