Default Day 30 Check In

Hi All!

May sure has flown by! I feel like we have all learned a lot this month, and like many things, we have learned more from our mistakes than from anything else! June is a new beginning, and I hope that you will be returning to continue to work on yourselves with more "evolved" moderation plans, based on your experiences from this past month!

RJ will be putting up a new topic series for the June moderation event, and we will have a new leader, as well.

I hope all of you had a great Memorial Day! The party I was supposed to go to (a small one!) ended up not happening, so I just kept on working yesterday after my sister left. I feel proud of having gotten so much done this weekend, and that's a good feeling. Not so proud of not moderating as I wanted to.:o Nevertheless, I feel like today is a new beginning, and June another new beginning too. A lot of the dust is beginning to settle in my life, so I believe I will be able to be more focused on myself again in a good and positive way.

HUgs,
Kathy

Default Day 30 Check In

Kathy -- yes it is sooo nice when things start to settle down. When my To Do List gets shorter, I sometimes have a hard time leaving it short, I always want to add to it. Sometimes it's nice to take a break when it's short.

I had a weird dream that all my kitchen cabinets were out of order, plasticware with the glasses, Christmas ornaments mixed in with everything. It was Chaos. I was relieved when I walked in the kitchen this morning and everthing was okay. I guess I drank too much cranberry juice and thought too much about the meaning of 'stuff' last night? I need to listen to the clearing CD!

Morning all,

Just got back from taking my Son to the ortho:x ! He gets his braces but on July 11th. UGGG! the down payment alone will kill the savings....two kids in braces...just when you think you get the finances under control! Talk about stress! I can't really work during the summer (kids are 13 & 11) Yes they are old enough to be on there own. BUT now is the time when I should and do need to be around! They are good kids, BUT one just never knows.....See I worry about everything and stress out about EVERY Thing!!!!!

Okay, I am fine now! Day 4 of my however long abs/moderation event for me! I'm still doing moderation, lol...just doing a stint of ab's for awhile...okay, dokay! You don't mind if I hang out down here with you all! Especially since my good buddy Judie (yeah) will be doing the June event! I will be doing some form of Moderation in June, just 1 or two days of drinking (with a drink limit of 3) not 20 day's like I had in May:o ! Yikes!

Okay, took my topa, kudzu and milk thistle....so far tummy fine!

Have a Happy Tuesday all,
~Tammie

She can't even "train" her Hubby!HA!.. Yeh Well, he's still in the "dog house"... but he's been behavin verrryyy niiiicccceeely!! I came home from work last night ,& the house was vaccumed, dishes done, lawn mowed,.....Just checked out back...8o everything still intact! Roses still in bloom, & he even shoveled doggie do!!:b G'Boy!!
God, he'd shoot me if he saw this post! Good thing I'm a better shot than him! I bet you guys didn't know I was a BB-gun champ @ the ripe old age of 10yrs. Flew all the way to Orlando, Fla., in 1970, for a international BB gun championship. I was second in the state of Oregon(my brother was first...-I woulda been, but he woulda beat me up!..or shot me!HA!), my Dad was the coach. I ended up on the cover of the Florida Weekly! It's a pretty cute photo, if I do say so myself!!
Well I made it thru the weekend without having to use any of my quik one liner lists(back-up plan for A*holes!) Did come real close once... but it was just for a moment!

Here's a couple I like to keep under my hat for emergencys...at :rollin

"I can see your point ....but I still think your full of @#%$."

I'm out of my mind, but feel free to leave a message.

I'll try being nicer, if you'll try being smarter.

Oh I get it... like humor, only different.

I see you set aside this special time to humiliate yourself in public!

It's a thankless job but I've got a lot of karma to burn off!

I'm already visualizing the duct tape over your mouth...

No, in all honesty... I really DO LOVE working with the public!! most of the time!!

Judie!

You can do it 100 and 10% Girl! I have all the Faith in you in the world!

Judie, look at us....we both started the same time! Who fell down the rabbit hole? Me! Who had a hard time this month with stress so caved in? Me! You lasted so much longer in March than I did....I always give into stress..
.
(I did the math "with quick topa increase I deserve a high 5...problems with simple math and spelling are my issues with the quick increase"....lol

Any way Judie you are 7 years my senior,(sorry, just thought I would throw that in) so much wiser, and I know you are a great, wonderful, soul !

Love, Tammie

I never knew wherer this would lead! Sorry, to all that I wasn't much more help at the time.. ! HAPPY SUMMER!

I forgot to check in today.....oops!!!!
You guys are over here having all the fun without me:( ol .
Anyhow, as for weekend report, I had a moderate to higher end drinking weekend. Just keeping that slow maybe drink per hour or whatever...very mindful drinking.
I just don't know if I'm on a "slippery slope" as they call it? I keep doing alcohol free days every week. I don't get worse or anything, just have days where we drink! Guess it's always been like that, i just got so far gone so early that I didn't notice that everyone else was drinking what was considered moderately??? Or is it considered heavy drinking??? I'm stuck in the definition rutt again.
I've been saying for a while now, I'm happy with me, hubby is pleased as can be, and some of you saw even the comments mother in law is making!! People even NOTICING I'm drinking much less! Guess when I go to post here, and I want to say "I just had 2 drinks on sunday" but really I had X amount (mystery....it's a secret...:rolleyes ) I feel guilty or something.

I know what the hard core abstainers or the moderation management gurus would say. More than 2 drinks per day or more than 8 per wk....too much. I don't even know if I'm looking for advice, you guys. I'm just kind of lost.
Doing June, cuz I need to be here! Doing my alcohol free days (2-3 per wk). Staying vigilent. Always. I don't FEEL myself slipping into old habits or anything.
Guess I'm just scared.

What I have learned for May!

-Never Drink ALONE!
-Try not to sweat the small stuff:rolleyes
-Even after many years of a "great" relationship" the communication lines need to be brought back up!
(even when you are turning 39....he really let me down on that one....but I KNOW that I let him down many times also!)
