"I've created many a nightmare by insisting on my own way"

Today I pray for humility. Today I will practice formulating good questions rather than bad answers.

Realistically, forcing a river never works. The longer we practice our program, the more we learn to surrender the certainty that we "know". The fact is none of us "knows" what should happen, let alone when & how. The fact is our best guesses are just as likely to be wrong as they are right. And the fact behind those two facts is that exciting new insights can only come to those who know that they don't know.:o ....(now there's a mouthful!):y

Well, this seems appropriate after a month of insightful meditations... I DON"T KNOW....:rolleyes ol What'd you think?appy :P

It is not easy to find happiness in ourselves, and it is not possible to find it elsewhere...
:rolleyes

I accept responsibility for my own happiness, for the obstacles I put in my own way, and for the happiness substitutes that I use to distract myself.

No need for references or experience, ... just open heart & honesty... :P . :d , Judie

Yes, it is pretty amazing. It's been a very mixed month for me. I've done better, and then I've done worse! But who is going to take the reins for July????:eek

I've been busy all morning--hence my late post. I've been designing new bills for my practice, and I've got everything together to send to the lawyer to draw up the documents to get things square with my ex, that dork!!! I also have an interview next week to do part-time contract work for a local clinic. I can't imagine that I won't get a part-time job there!appy That will help with my money angst tremendously!!

So, despite my drinking ups and downs, I do feel like I am moving forward to get the other things in my life in order. Perhaps I'm putting the cart in front of the horse here, but I do feel that as I get that stuff out of the way, it will be easier to make the time I need for me!!! I did make the time to eat well yesterday and listen to the hypno cd and buy 7 Weeks to Sobriety, so I feel good about that. I feel like I'm getting my ducks back in a row!

Oh, and I finished the practice flags yesterday, too!:rollin Yeeehahhhh!!!

Love and hugs:d

Hey Kathy, is your ex really a dork? I just learned the true definition of that word last night at work! A whale's penis! WOW!:eek My God Girl! No wonder you put up all his BS!:rollin ol

Mary Ann, Wish I could go riding with ya! Next time we're down in Fla, visiting the In-laws, we'll have to get together!
Hope you get your topa soon! Hang in there! It will help... It really made a huge difference for me.

Default Changing definitions of dork!

Well, I guess either we'll have to change the definition of dork or find a new name for ex! It just seemed relatively innocuous for what I really wanted to call him!!!! (Many very bad words are inserted here!) At any rate, the papers are in the mail to the lawyer, so it is out of my hands. Yeah! And no, we aren't talking about a whale penis, not even a snail penis! Actually, what would I know about it, anyway, it's been over 10 years since I've been familiar with the fella!!!Better think about another fantasy Judie!!!:rollin I'm sure your hubby can help!!

I'm pleased with all I've accomplished today, and I stopped in to a friend's who just opened a new office today. Helped her hang a few pictures, and etc. I'm having a glass of wine now, and then off to bed. I'm wiped!!!

Love to all!
