Good morning!
Question of the day:
should I up my topa??

Been at 100mg for a month now, and am not really feeling major effects BUT I've had to go off the Kudzu, Lglut, gaba, allone, b50, because of my stomach (still not right, btw...). I'm finding it takes a greater amount of will power to NOT drink, where before, I was just not doing it. You guys know.. . the topa effect. Yesterday was supposed to be an alcohol free day, but I was feeling crappy (no pun intended), pms, had to get off the treadmill after 3.75miles (was going for 6!) because of my stupid stomach, and I was BORED for some reason last night. M-I-L thoughts, 4 yr old acting up... I made excuses to have not 1 but about 3-4 glasses of wine. Even dumped one, just to go back later and pour another:evil . Bad night, I guess.
See, not like I went crazy and had 2 bottles or anything...but still. Not disciplined enough to keep the cork in. I need the AF days to maintain the moderation. I know this.
This must be what that thread was about a while back about our slips and struggles.... ooooooh. That's ok. Still determined to figure it out!
Good thing I'm not leading June! Maybe some day I'll be together enough....
Just worried. More topa, more wine...my poor brain! What about the supps? They helped. Maybe once mystomach heals I can get back on?
Here's a question...why do I have more questions than everyone else?ol ol

Why not up your topa, Becca? It would help with the cravings, for sure, and won't cause the tummy trouble. Supplement it with a good multivitamin until you get over your stomach crud! Then you can see where you are at! You've had a lot of stress this past week, so I think it would be important to have the added support of the topa to make sure that you stay on track!!! Just my two cents' worth!!!

At any rate, I can't believe that today is the last day of May. It seems like we were just beginning, and now it's gone!

I have mixed feelings about letting go of being the "leader"--I enjoy the position and have loved getting to know all of you more by being in this spot. I hope that I have been able to give you what you have needed. On the other hand, it will be nice not to have to worry about getting up for the morning post, especially to find that Becca has beaten me yet again!!!! :rolleyes Like today, Becca!!!! Your time will come, my dear!ol

And then, we have our terrific Judie! I have complete confidence that we will have a wonderful time in June, as we continue to work on ourselves and grow. The wonderful thing about having different leaders is that we all have something different to offer, and no matter what happens in June, I know that Judie will be empathic and supportive. Most likely, we will all be wetting our pants because we are laughing so hard as well!

Hey Bec,

You don't have more questions or problems then I .... I just went into hiding with mine:rolleyes :b ! Sorry....ol Anyway will figure it out all together!

As far as topa goes I do believe our bodies get use to it after being at a level for a amount of time and doesn't have the same effect as it once did! So "I" think upping it even by the slighest amount would have a positive affect. (Plus I think some of this is a mind game and that with the upping of the topa alittle you will think in your mind that you are having more topa thus the extra boost of anti craving meds to off set the supps!)

What do the rest of you guys think?

Sorry about beating you to the post, Kathy:D Hubby gets up SOOO early, and now that it's light out, I figure I might as well get up too! Kids are still sleeping, so it's a perfect time for me to gather my thoughts on here for the morning.

Yeah, Tammie, I have a tendency to blab blab blab my way through stuff! My way of dealing, I guess.! Talk myself right into a solution a lot of times!!:eek ol

Kathy, you have done a wonderful job leading the May charge! Thank you for all of your advice. I will always still look to you for guidance and friendship....and a good old fashioned reality check every now and then!

Just thought I'd hop over from the abs board where I hide and say I'm looking foward to joining you all in June. I have often read your moderation board and must admit that you are all hilarious!
I shall step into moderation very timidly.I did slip twice in May but just a few glasses of wine. As you can tell by my username wine happens to be my downfall
June will be fun!!Can't wait!

Default Day 31 Check In

My stats for the month of May:
Week 1 -- 8.5
Week 2 -- 5
Week 3 -- 18 (the week we had company)
Week 4 -- 6

Monday night I dreamed that all my kitchen cabinets were all disorganized. Last night I dreamed that the Christmas tree was still up in the living room. What is going on??

I had 2.5 drinks last night partly as a result spending 1.5 hrs on the phone with a friend who is organizing a large bike ride that I organized the last 3 years. Boy I don't miss that stress. That puts me at 7 for the week already, I need to cool my jets tonight and tomorrow. I need those AF nights like Becca to keep from slipping to 18 and higher.

Kathy thanks for being the Guru this month! I look forward to June moderation. I wish I had more time to chat with everyone and do more posts, but it's not worked out in May. I appreciate everyone's support and wonderful sense of humor.

Mornin Everybody! It's me! You're not quite "new", not quite a "LEADER",... bringing up the REAR! ol I must be getting too old to work that hard! This past weekend was fruitful, but wore me out!:b
Oh and Kathy if you're having second thoughts about turning your "post" over to a "nut-case-WHACKO-SAINT", DON"T DO IT !!:eek It'll never be the same! This could cause permenant dammage to ALL involved... but it might be FUN!at

Been thinking about a Moderation plan....but I don't want to post mine... it'll sound too bad compared to everybody elses!

But I also know how easy it is to slide back into old behaviors if I'm not vigilant...

Gosh, everyone, I was scared. My internet connection has been playing hide and seek all night!!!:eek :eek

I'm here to hand the baton to Judie, who I can see is already getting warmed up at the starting gate! Of course I will be here, and I really appreciate your warm words of thanks! You're making me blush!

At any rate, I'll be here, moderating with you, I think my moderation plan will stay the same. I will have a hard time with the exercising, at least initially, as I'm still moving stuff around with the office moves, and also reorganizing my house (does that count as exercising??? ), but I also see this as an investment in the "infrastructure" of my life, which will ultimately make my whole life run more smoothly, giving me more time to exercise, etc.

Also, when I pulled my old office chairs out of storage for my new office, I rediscovered how damn comfy they are--just perfect for relaxing with my hypno cd's!!! Now there's a good reason to put an extra hour in my schedule every day!!!

Anyway everyone, this has been a slice of life! Here's to June, and here's to Judie!!! Take it away, St. Jude!
