Default Program Basics

Hi Everyone!

Here you will find an excellent summary for quick reference of the Program Basics, as laid out by our very own Donna!

Supplements:

On the home page of this site there is a link called "Important program Updates". From there you can access all the latest info on the supps. If you have trouble accessing this info let me know and I'll see what I can do to help.
It is very important to take the supps in the amounts and times directed. They will help to cleanse and strengthen your body as well as help with withdrawal symptoms.

Hypnotherapy CD's:

These tapes are very powerful, and have really had a huge impact on me!! I hope all of you new guys just starting out really stick with them and get used to using them!!

Clearing CD:
This, and Hypnotic are the only ones you really have to "be there" for so to speak, so find an hour, or two 1/2 hour blocks (each track is half an hour and you can split it up) that you can really concentrate. Use headphones for these cd's, it will make them much more effective! Really try with this, Clearing sets the stage for the Hypnotic cd, and "clears" out all the BS and prepares you for the hypno cd. If you find it difficult at first stick with it, come here and talk about it, that's what we are here for!

Hypnotic CD:
This CD has two tracks. The first track is 45 minutes, and the second track is 20 minutes. You can split this up into two sessions. As with the clearing cd you will want to be in a quiet calm atmosphere and use headphones.

You will be asked during both tracks of this cd to furnish suggestions and visualizations of how you want your life to change regarding alcohol. Examples from the book include:

For a plan of Abstinence:
-I don't want to put liquor into my body.
-I prefer to drink ____ rather than drink alcohol.
-My home life is happier now that I don't drink.
-My craving to drink Alcohol is simply gone.

For a plan of Moderation:
-I am fit and strong because I do not drink to excess
-I often do not want a second drink
- I sip slowly when I drink
-My home life is happier now that I drink moderately

I included both plans in case any moderators ventured this way.

Get specific about your suggestions, and tailor them to fit your life specifically. Do the same thing with the visualizations.

A few suggested visualizations from the book are:

-I see myself with a new energy level, getting all getting all kinds of new tasks accomplished.
-I see myself going for my walk and feeling energized by it.
-I see myself ordering sparking water and enjoying it.

and so on...

Subliminal:
This reinforces the other cd's. It is a piece of cake! Just pop it in while sitting at your computer, driving, cooking dinner....and simply go about your business. You will do this every day.

Sleep Learning:
Again, a piece of cake. Just pop it in, hit the repeat all button (the one that makes it play all night long) and go to sleep. You will also do this every night.

Exercise:

This is an important part of the program as well. The book recommends 3, 20 minute sessions a week. I try and do something every day time permitting. Get creative, take the the stairs at work, walk to lunch instead of driving, heck, take the bus...you'll have have to walk to and from the bus stop, ride your bike to the store instead of driving. Anyway, you get the picture, walk, run play ball, swim, garden, just get out there and get moving. Exercise helps with cravings, helps our hearts, and of course helps us shed those pounds we put on by consuming all those empty calories!

Meds:

This will be different for everyone depending on if your taking meds, what you are taking, and where you are in the program.

Determination:

All of the above are not going to work if you don't have the determination to make them work!! This will work if you stick to the plan, come here for support, and believe in yourself!! You really are worth the effort it takes to do this, and at the end of each day you will feel that much better, and that much more determined for the following day to come!!

Thanks Donna!!
