Default Lithium Orotate

Saw this supplement mentioned in the SAM-e thread. Been trying to research it. Saw one study that was denouncing a previous study that said Lithium Orotate could cause kidney problems.

Anyone else out there have any experience and/or knowledge with this supplement? I really think I would like to try it. Has anyone ever ordered anything from iherb.com ?

I appreciate any feedback.

Thanks,

Miso

Default Lots about it right here

If you do a search on this forum, you will see there has been a good bit of discussion about lithium orotate in the past year.

I did a lot of research and almost all evidence is that it works as an antidepressant, mood-evener, and a sleep aid. There is almost no negative information I could find.

So I tried it and I have had a very positive experience. I take it every night (250mg one hour before bedtime). It helps relax me (I also take melatonin and sometimes valerian). But I also think it evens out moods throughout the day, as I forgot it a couple times at night and found myself to be more irritable and emotional during the next day.

Many people who are not helped by standard anti-depression medicine (SSRIs) find relief from LO. Studies have shown it to be more effective than SSRIs with far less side effects (actually no side effects, except sleepiness in higher doses, which is desirable in my case).

Drug companies are not interested, though, as it can't be patented and is cheap.

Anyway, that's my experience. I hope it helps you too. It's safe and inexpensive, so worth a try, I'd say.

Thanks Beatle. I will do a search here. Heard about it for the 1st time when it was mentioned in the SAM-e thread. Looking forward to learning more about it and trying it.

Thanks again.
