Many doctors misdiagnose Thyroid problems.

1) Many doctors only do a TSH test, which doesn't tell you much all by itself.

2) The "normal" range of TSH is considered to be so broad that many people with fairly serious Thyroid problems can easily be told their Thyroid is "normal." Also, the range considered "normal" changed to a narrower one (although still pretty broad) in 2002? 2003? but many labs aren't using it, and the doctors don't know.

3) To really know if Thyroid might be a problem, you need TSH, Free T4 and Free T3 as far as I can tell from all the MUCH much stuff I've been reading up on lately.

Just wanted to throw that out there as hair loss is definitely a symptom of low Thyroid (but is also a symptom of lots of other stuff too). Whatever is the cause, I hope you get it figured out!!

On the healing powers of honey....they are real!!! Ideally, find a bee keeper within 30 miles of where you live and buy your honey unprocessed. When it's unprocessed and local to you - WOW.

Hey Ziggy ~ nice to see you!
Sea, I hope the supps help your hair issue. A nice bonus I'm seeing is that after a lifetime of paper thin nails, they are getting long and beautiful. I'm feeling transformed, inside and out Whoo Hoo!!!

Right now, I am not even fit to have a boyfriend.lol. I decided to take about a year to work on myself, don't need complications(relationships).

Sea,

My daughter lost the hair on her arms and had wads of hair fall out of her head when she was drinking.

It was horrible.

She is now taking all the supps and refraining from AL most of the time (sigh) and her hair is coming back fast.

Love,
Cindi

Hi Cindi
Yeah, I definitely think it is AL related. I am not sure if I am taking all the right stuff though. I am taking a multivit with minerals, Vit D, B-comlex, magnesium and vit C. I think the MWO book addresses hair loss. I have been so busy. I haven't gotten past page 54. I am off for two days, although always on-call, so one never knows. I should be able to finish the book.
