From the Batman book:

10. Unreasonable impatience. Maintaining your patience to stay on a course or an assignment is an energy-consuming undertaking for the brain. If it doesnt' have a sufficient stored reserve of energy, it has to put an end to the undertaking as quickly as possible. This process of quick disengagement is labeled "impatience". don't forget, water manufactures hydroelectric energy at a rate that can replenish the used-up amount. Energy for food has to go through many steps of molecular conversion until it is stored in the energy pools in the cells. Even this processs needs water for hydrolysis to make the components of food usable as sources of energy.

11. Very short attention span. This is another disengagement process for the brain that needs energy to focus on a topic or a learning process. The morehydrated the brain, the more energy it can manufacture to imprint tnew information in its memory banks. Attention deficit disorder in children is similarly produced by dehydration when chldren choose sodas as their preferred drinks.

From the Batman book:

12. Shortness of breath in an otherwise healthy person without lung disease or infection. People who want to exercise without feeling short of breath should drink water before they exert themselves in any form of physical activity.

From the Batman book:
13. Cravings for manufactured beverages such as coffee, tea, sodas, and alcoholic drinks. (Alcoholic drinks. Did you see that?) This is the way yyour brain tells you that you need to be hydrated. These cravings are based on a condition reflex that associates hydration with the intake of these beverages, which actually dehydrate the body further. The proces of cintinuous dehydration is stressful and causes the brain to secrete stress hormones, which include endorphins - the natural opiates of the body that help it get through its enviornmental crisis. One of the reasons why people continue drinking these beverages is their increasing addiction to the level of their own endorphin production. This is why caffeine and alcohol are addictive substances and cause withdrawal symptoms. The next stage to this kind of addiction could be the use of harder drugs that put a constant drive on endorphin secretion by the body. Thus, if children are to be directed toward a drug-free form of life, it should start with eliminating caffeine from their diets.

No wonder I'm having such a hard time with caffeine. I mean the endorphins, not the drugs.

From the Batman book:

14. Dreaming of oceans, rivers, or other bodies of water is a form of subconsciously geterated association to reach a sorrce of water to quench thirst. The brain has a tendency to stimulate an experience in order to give instructions to the person to perform a function, even in deep sleep. (wonder what that means about drinking dreams?)

That was the last of the thirst perceptions.

Today: 7 coffee 8 water

I have found my copy of the batman book and am going to re-read as I have felt much better lately since I have increased my water intake.
My coffee is down to between 1 and 3 a day now, and about 2 of those are decaff.
Its yet another tool in our arsenal to keep us feeling good.
Thanks Greenie!

Starty is your copy "You're Not Sick, You're Thirsty!"? Look on page 73 for something that will interest you.

From the Batman book:

The second group of conditions that represent indicators of dehydration are the body's drought-and-resource management programs. (those 14 perceptive feelings were the first group) There are 5 distinct conditions that denote states of dehydration and oprerative rationing processes that can be corrected easily. The 6th in this group consists of a number of conditions that have been classified as autoimmune diseases, but should be looked at as a sort of cannibalistic process of resource management at the expense of the body's own tissues brought about by persistent dehydration. The conditions are: asthma, allergies, hypertension, constipation, type II diabetes, autoimmune diseases.

From the Batman book:

The third categoryof conditions that denote local dehydration are the major pains of the body. Before dehydration hurts you irreversibly, when your plum-like cells become prune-like, your body will show its urgent need for water through different types of pain. Batman discusses dehydration and cellular acid buildup a bit and indicates that it produces classic pains of the body which are listed as heartburn, dyspeptic pain, anginal pain, lower backpain, rheumatiod joint pain including ankylosing spondylitis, migraine headaches, colitis pain, fibromyalgic pains, ,morning sickness during pregnancy, bulimia.

4 coffee (none in the afternoon), 10 water

From the Batman book

Women oftren have a much greater dependence on the endorphin codes for their pain relief, especially for the phusically traumatic processes of pregnancy and childbirth. Generation after generation of women have passed this strong ability for the expression of endorphin code to their ofspring. It has become a stronger part of the chromosome code for the female of ll species, particularly humans. This is why women have a geater ability to endure pain than men, and also why they live longer.

Alcohol is a dehydrating agent. Frurthermore, it inhibits the full and widespread actions of vasopressin, causing further dehydration. In women, alcohol initiates release of endorphins. The more alcohol that is consumed, the more endorphin high will be experienced as a consequence of cellular dehydration. The addictive property of alcohol is most probably the consequence of endorphin release from the process of establishing dehydration. although the process is the same in men and women, in women it becomes more strongly and rapidly addictive than in men. The reason lies in the women's ability to activate more quickly the endorphin-manufacturing system and its release in alcohol-induced stress. This is probably why women become addicted to alcohol in about two to three years, whereas men become addicted n about seven years.

Came across the Water Cure some time back. I was initially excited about it, then, as so often happens with things, I relegated it to the back burner........enough said.

Am interested, as I have suffered from an auto-immune disease, for which there is no cure, for all of my adult life. Sadly, the more I`ve cleaned up my act, the more severe and debilitating my symptoms have become........hard to swallow, considering I no longer drink, smoke or eat junk food.

Going to seriously check out the Water Cure over the next few days.

So, am wondering...........anyone here found it at all effective to treat an auto-immune disease??

Thanks,

Star x

star, he says on p.72

Reversal of autoimmune conditions is not easy and not always possible. To reverse them requires an in-depth understanding of the improtance of the acid-alkaline balance and the metabolic aspects associated with dehydration, such a the loss of a range of amino acids, insufficient absorption or loss of vital minerals like zinc and magnesium, and the absolute need for essential vitamins and fatty acids.

There are reference of course in the back of the book. I wonder if you could contact him directly. He did a lot of case studies. Good luck!
