Hi LVT well done you that is great.
Unfortunatley I did not have a good weekend with moderating and not smoking - I accidentally went a bit over the top saturday night - stupid stupid stupid.... I have got no tolerance for alcohol now compared with before joining MWO and of course once I had one or two drinks I was desperate for a smoke. I am ashamed to say I was so desperate that I bummed one from a stranger and went outside to secretly smoke it. I had just got it lit and in my mouth when my 16 yr old daughter came out and caught me - she was obviously watching me. She nearly freaked out when she saw me with the offending ciggie and she frightened the living daylights out of me. Needless to say I dropped the ciggie in shock so dont think I even managed a drag. She has given me such a hard time about it. She says that I cannot say I havent smoked for 3 months now that I have to go back to zero- yeah right..... Anyway next day I apologised and thanked her for saving me (from myself) and she has agreed to forgive me! So am back on the straight and narrow and clearly still need to be very careful with the AL. Think I wil go back to AF its safer. BH |

boozehag - yeah, don't bash yourself. You are doing soooo very well!! Lighting a ciggie isn't a slip or a failure. Why was your daughter so upset? I can understand her caring, but it seems like she was REALLY upset.
I slipped up last weekend. I ended up drinking.... and I even bummed a smoke off of my neighbour. Oh well such is life. I didn't beat myself up about it because I am trying to focus on the positives. Up to that point, I was doing maaaaaaaaarvelously! (and YOU were/are too!!!) barebones and LVT way to go!!! |

OUCH!! I am amazed how much easier it is to stay off the ciggies as long as I stay off the beer. I'm pretty sure I would be right there with you BH! I have come real close to bumming off of strangers before. It is not any reason to feel bad, but I know just how you feel! My kids would probably be the same way. They hardly noticed when I quit smoking, but boy they sure notice if I do!
![]() To me the nicodemon and the AL monster hang together and keep saying--just one, that won't hurt!! ![]() You guys are doing great--keep it up!! ![]()

Biscuit: What will you do tomorrow to go AF? I am desperate myself since May but don't want to go medical detox again. Any suggestions?
