Default Here it is...

I read this in "The Detox Diet Book"

"Cigarette smoke & alcohol combined are thought to create ethyl nitrate, which is a strong mutagen."

Which means it changes DNA---increasing cancer risk.

Yet another great reason to quit!!

I just wanted to pop in and see how it's going. I'm 2 months NF today (or pretty close)! I just wanted to remind you, it really does get easier!

Hang in there!!

I am in late and can't read all the posts but how are you all quitting? Cold turkey, nicotine replacement or chantix? I have cut down (closet smoker here) and will be done before a trip I have at the end of the month. Just want to know what works best.

Hi Beaches
I think it is a combination of all 3! I am on champix which is working really well for me. It didnt work for Barebones as it made her sick and I think she mentioned she was getting NR stuff. Not sure about the others cold turkey maybe. Like everything I think it is a matter of trial and error and what works best for the person. I tried the nicotine gum and puffer but I didnt find them a help. Anyway do join us the more the merrier. I am only 31 days NF but I am sure I have it beat I doubt I will ever smoke again.
