Tex--

What a horrible, heart crushing shock! One suicide takes many captors. So often, those suicides are impulsive reactions to a bad fight, one day too many of depression--a decision is made in a nanosecond, and then everything is history, except to survivors. The irony is that most people who fail in their attempts, except for those who haved planned their deaths to end intractible physical pain, are tremendously grateful for a second chance. Tex, I am so sorry that this has happened to you. My life, too, has been touched by suicide and while I am no longer in the grasp of the excruciating sadness and confusion that I once felt, there is an indelible mark on my heart. It reminds me that now matter how severe my own pain, this is nothing that I could ever do to my daughter.

Hang in there, Tex. You're strong. Cry. Rage. Someday, the pain will lessen. I promise.

Love, (the mostly absent) E

Default Take care

Dear Jill,

I am just numb reading your tragedy and the awfulness of the situation you have to somehow cope with. I know we find inner strength from somewhere, but lean on as many people as it takes to help you through. All I have to offer is my sympathy and support for you at this time, but if it helps - it's there!
Take care.
