Default day 5

day 5 and going into another night with vampire cravings. haha feel like I want to suck some wine at night. no desire this morning but feel it will start festering in my head around lunchtime. Any words of encouragement would be appreciated, I will read tonight instead of drinking!!! Good strategy I feel. What supplements are helpful? I feel like I have had a few withdrawal symtoms... headaches, ANXIETY, irritablilty, fidgety, guess these are all symptoms, and of course the obsessive battle in my head to drink or not. How crazy is that! I am sure a normal person does not do that!!
thanks for your help, you are my lifeline right now.

Hi Kendall, I'm not the best for advice but I know things were the worst for me around days 5-7 - I wanted a drink so bad I got depressed, then things began to get easier day by day. Reading a book tonight sounds like a good idea. Unfortunately can't suggest what supplements to use (I did my stint cold turkey - probably not the best way) but there are plenty of people here who can give you recommendations. Hang in there - you're on Day 5 and that's brilliant!!!

Hi Vlad

I got in nights and ate some chocolate and then sipped diet lemonade - the contrast was truly amazing -I also got into a book and went to bed to read between 9-10 - this made for a shorter evening but I was warm and comfortable.

Lots of good wishes to you.

The cravings may not be as bad as you think but you can get through them. During the day, when you don't have them, focus on what a good thing you are doing for yourself, how much better you are feeling physically and how proud of yourself you are. This will help when your normal drinking time arrives. Also, plan to do something else during that time - go for walk, shopping, etc. All the recommended supps can be found by going to the home page and clicking on the link for program updates. I found it helpful to click on all the links on the home page and read them while I was waiting for the book.
