You have been busy typing. This is a great post to remind everyone that the past does not matter. You only need to want to change your future and make that your priority. You have to want to be sober more than you want to continue on the path you are on and then you can really change your life. You my friend are living proof!!!! PS. did your scretary do the typing.......LOL Last edited by time2change : 04-15-2009 at 10:06 AM. |

Oh, T!!!!! I don't know whether to apologize for bending your ear with my problems, or congratulate you for being THE MAN we all come to. So many others with a fraction of your history have gone down the drain, and blamed the world for their failure. You are a wonder, my friend.
Love you, man! Rubes

Mr. T. reading your story just about broke my heart. You have no idea how much respect I have for you and for your success in overcoming what all life has thrown at you over the years. You should be incredibly proud of yourself and it is obvious that you are a rock and you have a very special dignity of spirit. I can feel that the best is yet to come for you my friend.
P.S. I was feeling a little sorry for myself this am, but after reading about your life story, a jolt of gratitude put me back on the right track. Thanks for sharing Mr. T. Lori

Wow! Lorisunshine e-mailed me and told me about your post. Your story has certainly put my problems in perspective. I have absolutely nothing to complain about. My parent's fostered children. Your story reminds me alot of some of the situations that these kids lived through, prior to coming to live with us. It was unbelievable! You have overcome adversity that was not of your creation and conquered demons that you created yourself, as well. Amazing and Congratulations! I finally came to the conclusion, in my life, that I could continue to be a victim and that could be the identity that I accepted for myself - or I could choose to overcome those horrific things that had occurred in my young life - and instead, be a VICTORIOUS SURVIVOR!!! You, my friend, are a SUPER VICTORIOUS SURVIVOR!
