Description:
Wow them at your next get together with a new salad they have never had!
Other: Ingredients:
Time:
some steps not much time
Difficulty:
easy chop chop
Serving Size:
N/A
  1. 1 lb slice bacon, cooked and crumbled

  2. 1 med cauliflower, broken into flowerets and sliced

  3. 1 small red onion,chopped

  4. Dressing:
  5. 1 cup mayo
  6. 3 T lemon juice
  7. 1 T prepared mustard
  8. 1 T dry basil
  9. 1/8 t nutmeg
Preparation:
  1. mix all the dressing ingredients together.
  2. do all the cooking and chopping
Instructions:
  1. Mix halfish of the bacon, the cauliflower, onion and dressing, add pepper to taste.

  2. refrigerate overnight

  3. line a bowl with romaine leaves if you want to be fancy.

  4. pour salad in bowl top with rest of bacon.

  5. I am a yellow mustard girl so that is what I use.

  6. Also have tried fresh vs. dried basil and the dried basil as per original recipe is better. imho.
  7. The original recipe has 3 cups chopped romaine that you put in bowl before adding cauli mix, but who wants all that green just hides all the good stuff, imoho.

not to worry, this new recipe format is a bit wierd. Love the salad though. thank you! Cant' wait to give it a whirl. Nutmeg is just made for cauliflower I think.
