How far is a dog race? I've seen horse races, including Quarter Horses, which are measured in yards rather than furlongs.

Depending on how many laps the dogs do we have races that cater for 295m, 520m, 645m or 732m.
Yesterday was our trial day for the young dogs so they mostly just run the first two distances.

Oh it was terrible starty - you knocked yourself out for at least 30 seconds with your legs as stiff as a board. I thought you had killed yourself. Today just a small headache.
Yes the pups will be 5 months old at the end of the month - they truly are big kids now
