      Strictly Optional: Weigh-In

      Re: weigh-in

I truly think my scale is wacko! NO, Guys, I'm not blaming everything else like an alkie! It measures on .2 lbs, so you'd think it would register something different every few days, right? But it's been stuck at the same damn thing for two weeks! At last this morning, I took off everything I mean everything--okay too much information!:lol , and for good measure, took out the battery (not mine, the scale's!) and put it back in, and weighed myself again. viola! down two lbs! (Good weigh loss technique! Mess with the battery in your scale! Better yet, throw it away, then you will be lighter than a feather:rollin !) After weighing myself, I grabbed my featherweight kitty, who suddenly gained 5 lbs. Got back on the scale myself and had gained another 1.2 lbs in a minute!
I settled for a weight that was 1.6 lbs less than my "stuck" weight.

Think I need a new battery, anyone? Life sucks when you can't even have a trusting relationship with your scale......:rolleyes Is it obvious that I just got up and haven't had a full cup of coffee?

      Lotsa love!
      Kathy

:rollin too funny Kathy. I have a visual of you making that scale work. I hope you don't have a window in the room that it is in

Have you started any exercises yet or anything like that? I did a beautful walk on sunday but fast so I could feel it and then the gym yeterday. I am not going to weigh myelf for a while but my clothes will let me know the truth soon.

      Love

      Strictly Optional: Weigh-In

      Re: weigh-in

      Kathy,
That story is funny! You want toooo much information for weighing in?? Here goes... I get up almost every morning, and before I've had my coffee as well, or a crumb of anything else, I strip buck naked, go to the bathroom even (!), THEN step on the scale. Figure that's gotta be my lightest weight of the day, right?? Ha ha!!
Whatever, at least it's consistent strategy, so I know it's pretty darn accurate. Started at 143 or so. Scale at 137.0 this morning. Kinda stuck there, too. Gym today. Can definitely feel that missing 6 or so pounds around my midsection...want one more roll gone.... gross! bathing suit in less than 2 wks!
Although, I was at this indoor water park this past weekend, and there were some women in bathing suits that I wouldn't be caught dead in and I KNOW they weighed more than 137#!!! What are people thinking??? Love the body you are in, I suppose!! My brain doesn't work that way, so off to the treadmill and weights.
      Love, Becca

      Re: weigh-in

Me, too, Becca! Not always buck naked, but liquids are heavy! I'm sure you'll look great in your bathing suit! I really do need a battery, though:rolleyes

      Kathy

I'm having a hard time getting started with exercise....I was going to yesterday, but I got called to school to get my daughter, who has bronchitis and then running around to the doctor and pharmacy. Today, long day at work. Tomorrow, back on the ball!

Did buy a new battery for my scale. Now not completely weightless, but down 1.2 lbs. Why am I suddenly feeling like Bridgit Jones?
