Irregular heart rate, etc. due to alcohol...

Just a quick question..
I have had an irregular heart rate which is related to the alcohol use and withdrawl. Will this go away once I am free from the withdrawl, and will any heart related problems due to alcohol be repaired if I can remain alcohol free for the rest of my days?
I am 45, and in otherwise good health.

Irregular heart rate, etc. due to alcohol...

I also have the irregular heartbeat problem and I'm sure alcohol is a major contributor. I take sotalol 160 mg a day so have not tried the Topamax becaue I am not sure of interaction.
